  • I've Been Wondering, What's The Overture For?.

  • It's like the intro to the the show, it gives the audience a bit of a sample of the music to come and it's a great way to begin a musical in my opinion!

most musicals have one that I know of.

  • It goes back all the way to opera. Operas and Musicals usually have an overture that exposes the main themes of the entire production all at once.

  • Also, it, and the Entre' Act (spelling bad) are the times when the Orchestra to shine instead of the actors

  • @StefanoFan27 All operas, ballets, and musicals that I know have an overture. It's an introduction to the production, and it gives a sample of the (main) music that you'll hear. It's also the orchestra's moment to shine before we see the actors/dancers.

  • Thanks sooooooo much! I love these songs, been searching all over!

  • I have only a couple fave pics

  • Thank you SO MUCH i've been searching for these everywhere. <3
