The anglo american empire, was made with the blood of millios of innocent people. ¿ Is that what you call democracy? Your false democracy is based on the explotation an murder of the people that cannot defend themselves.
@evaperonfan Perons became national obsession and so did their deaths. And You also know how death is seen in Latin America. I actually heard that families of departed ones buried for example in La Recoleta has keys and unlock those crypts to do dusting. Certainly there is less taboo for death in Latin America.
@Miketayfan yes, I know, but that doesn't make it right. In my opinion, it's a worship of death. Why worship death when you only have one life to live? Celebrate LIFE and the LIVING!
@evaperonfan I agree, I do. But people tend not to let go of other people and things. I guess it's that. Clinging to the past through Evita and Peron bodies. I agree it's wrong.
@Miketayfan thanks for agreeing with me. People have told me to be 'culturally sensitive' but appreciating a culture doesn't mean you don't see things that are wrong with a culture. I love Argentina,I even consider it my second country, but this part of its culture disturbs me. And besides, I think celebrating Life and the Living is healthier for a people and a society. The USA celebrates life, and look where the USA is and look where Argentina is. It's easy to see the difference.
@evaperonfan I am sure you have the wrong idea completely! Preserving the mortal remains or relics of them has nothing to do with "death worship". In the case of President Peron and Evita, they were both Christians and believed in Christ the the hope of the resurrection of the dead. Revering the memory of the faithful departed by various physical tokens is a holy and a wholesome practice that varies according to culture. Argentinians revere their memory, they don't worship death!
@Miketayfan but what's the point of that? Latin America is so far behind the Anglo and Nordic world when it comes to democracy, free speech and women's rights that it's not even funny. So I consider their respect for the dead to be nothing. I have studied Latin America, and it's a corrupt shithole not much better than the Middle East. If you live in a democratic country, be very glad for it!
@ar2014 When was that ? In 1952 or when Isabel Perón placed her in Olivos crypt for brief display next to Juan Perón ? Please answer. Was she that well preserved she looked as though she only was sleeping ?
@ar2014 Are you sure ? Eva Peron body is not on public display as far as I know. She is buried in her family tomb at Recoleta Cemetary and nobody can see her nowadays. You probably visted the black marble crypt from outside, yes ?
@ar2014 Consider yourself lucky. It's a true blessing to see Evita's corpse. She went through hell for 15 years, being beaten, sexually abused, and kidnapped from her country. It's amazing that she's still beautiful after almost 60 years of being dead. I would love to see Evita's corpse. Were you allowed to take pictures?
@VanitasxAura i suppose not, because it was a school trip we wasnt allowed to take electronic devices with us, but since someone said me a month ago that seeing her corpse wasnt allowed for public, i dont know.. and i didnt pay so much attention either
As for Evita, she was obviously Dr. Ara's work of art. However, all the chemicals he used to preserve her body turned her skin color too dark. Evita was a fair-skinned Latina woman, not the dark-skinned shade that her body turned when the Italians had to reconstruct her face. Those same chemicals also shriveled her hands and turned them a disgusting shade of brown. This could also be because the wax shield that encased her body had been broken, and so decay immediately set in.
Was it Dr.Ara who prepared Juan's corpse? If not, then whoever did it was a very talented mortician because Juan looks like he's sleeping. He doesn't look dead at all. Most morticians today are not gifted in the art of death, but a few still are. They can make a body look as if it's just sleeping, as opposed to the "presentable but dead" look most of us Americans are used to. The real shame is that Juan & Evita were disrespected in death.
Her face was damaged by her political enemies. Her nose was crashed and her forehead visibly hit with hammer and slashed with knife or sword. It's really disturbing and horrible. But as much as she was loved she was also hated very much.
Do you think that I robbed their graves and took those photos or what ? This is a historical material and it's authentic. Juan & Eva Perón's deaths were very public and national. I agree that they should be left in peace but it was unfortunately not up to me or you. They've been made into political symbols even in their death. Consider this video not as a fun but as a historical trivia and warning about results of an exaggerated cult of a person. That's all to it.
I agree with you with all my mind and heart if this video is to warn about results of an extremely exaggerated cult of a person, I can add a sickly cult of person.
oh, ok. I understand now. In the US we have a similar personality cult with the Kennedys, but in contrast, we're a very death denying culture. We even eat after funerals and try to sweep death under the rug.
No you are not. If only Evita's living sister gave permission for that. In San Vincete where Juan Peron rests now next to his coffin there is a crypt prepared for Eva.
peron no tenia familiares. ni tampoco, se lo embalsamó.y recien en la primera democracia argentina, despues del 82, le descubrieron que tenía las manos cortadas. JUAN DOMINGO PERON.... NO ESTÁ EMBALSAMADO como Evita.
No ? But the last picture is from 1989 and he was buried in 1974 ? So how did his body stayed in such great condition when he's grave was opened and robbed ? His hands were cut off. He sure looks preserved somehow if not embalmed.

They covered her face because the nose had been 'broken' while under the care of Colonel Moori Koenig and staff.

This is an unique case in my country and is related to an incredible cult of personality, like in Germany with Hitler and in the URSS with Stalin.

who are Peron's living relatives?
AndromedaMariaCarmen 4 years ago
Perón had a brother and that brother had children.

I found an article somewhere that refers to one of Peron's nephews. They recently moved Peron's body, and the nephew commented on the move.
