Great video and song. It's sad that things like this need to be shared, but they do. The misconceptions about atheism and atheists are ubiquitous, even in free(er) societies.
I can't speak for everybody Ataturkistan but I can say with moderate certainty that basically no, Atheists don't belief in a life after death and that this is the only life we'll ever get. If you have any more questions about it please feel free to ask.
I think there isn't and and I live quite ok with that, a bit unconfortable when I think about it but I have no reasons or evidence to think there is. Life has no purpose because of that? all the contrary, it has all the purpose because this is the only one I'll ever get (probably). why we MUST get that? 'cos Death is scary and inevitable? 'cos it's a consoling thought? I don't believe what Abraham religions say. Yes I would be surprised.. but honestly I don't think that's going to happen...
The universe began by the big bang (it's a long complicated process, go on wikipedia). Why is begging the question. There doesn't need to be a reason.
Life began through abiogenesis. Lightning (which charges life) likely struck chemicals on an early earth that was still developing and still had a bunch of chemical stuff on the surface. Early earth conditions made life easy to form. We don't need a reason to exist other than procreation.
Our purpose and need to exist is something that us humans define on our own. Matter doesn't have to exist. Why questions beg the question. There you go, you ignorant, arrogant, over confident jackass.
And yes, they do contradict. One say that life came about through natural causes and such which you apparently haven't studied AT ALL (which you should have done in middle school), and one says a giant super being decided to poof it all out of nothing for no reason.
incase you didn't know, the first step of the scientific method is philosophy. that's asking a question!!!!! philosophy is one of the foundations of science itself!
we say it's GOD for a reason, based on evidence. if you have a better answer, or better alternative explanation then let's it, C'MON THEN LET'S HERE IT?!!!!
just because YOU don't want them to compliment,. doesn't mean that's reality, you're NOT GOD, and what you think doesn't define reality, sorry!!!
No, the first step is just asking a question, not fucking tap dancing around the topic pointlessly with no true aim.
What the hell? No you don't. You say it's god because of what your parents might have taught you or because of an old book and faith.
And what the fuck are you talking about?! THEY CANNOT COMPLEMENT! No matter how many times you say they can, they CANNOT. Most religion SPECIFICALLY SAYS that god created the humans himself. Science mentions NOTHING of god.
> THAT IS PHILOSOPHY!! philosophy asks questions, science investigates. and in some cases it cannot answer.
"No you don't. You say it's god because of what your parents might have taught you or because of an old book and faith."
> EXCUSE ME?!!! do you know me? how do you know that's what my parents taught me? did you help them raise me? stop making stupid personal claims about people you don't know personally!!!
where is your evidence for abiogenesis? where is your alternative explanation?
listen here kiddo!!!
don't come online and waste my time, if you say i'm wrong, then you better have a better alternative answer, and right now you don't seem to have one!
i asked you philosophical questions which i wanted you to answer! and you haven't!!
don't come here, insulting me, and telling me i don't know anything with a smart-ass, punk attitude! you're just wasting my time.
Evidence is the experiment of Urey and Geller. The alternative is known as Abiogenesis, you twit. Alternative answer?
You're an idiot. Just because one theory might be wrong does NOT mean that yours is automatically right.
I came here insulting you because of your poor arguments and your attitude in your comments that just screams of arrogance. So how bout you FUCK OFF until you actually know what the hell abiogenesis is.
1- No I came here thinking I know more about the big bang than you because you make it sound like you don't know what you're talking about.
2- The fact that it's unproven doesn't necessarily mean that it should just be dropped. It's the only serious theory we have right now and it has some evidence to it.
3- Once again, they cannot. Get this through your damn thick skull. One says the universe can only come about through nature and one says the universe can only come about through god.
4- No, I'm attacking the argument and the way you argue.
5- I'm kinda immature but that doesn't nullify my argument.
7- No I don't. It's just in my common vocabulary. Anyone who actually gives a shit about someone using profanity doesn't see how useless censorship of those words are, especially in an open causal discussion.
8- Nope. I came here with the "I know more about the big bang and abiogenesis than you do" attitude.
9- No you don't. You just BS your way through with "philosophy"
10- I'm not running away you moron, I had to go do something else. It's not like I left and didn't come back for like a whole week or anything. I love how you're just so damn arrogant you HAVE to assume that if I leave for a day, then you've won or something. You haven't won shit and you make crap arguments. You now resort to having this snooty attitude and pretending I ran off just because I actually have a life and other things to think about other than arguing with a douche bag.
7- you think by using profanity it will somehow strengthen your arguments.
8- you accuse me of being arrogant, when it's you who has the "i'm better than you attitude". you think i'm arrogant because unlike many christians i push back!
9- i know full well what abiogenesis is. and because i proved you wrong you just say, i know nothing, and then run away!!
10- you kicked off the debate, now you're heading for the hills.
You did ask philosophical questions, but when responded to, you just throw the same shit over and over. "Abiogenesis isn't proven! My idea is automatically right because of that! Even though the two are COMPLETELY FUCKING DIFFERENT and have COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THEORIES I still think religion and science can come together without contradiction!"
i know what the big bang is. i know how it MIGHT have started, i want to know WHY? the big-bang DOESN'T answer why?
abiogenesis has yet to be proven. living organisms have never come from non-living.
"lightening struck the chemicals on earth"? LOL!!! you put so much faith in CHANCE. you're playing "chance of the gaps" now! no one knows whether it was lightening, you just assume it was, and say abiogenesis is true, when it hasn't been proven.
And abiogenesis is not proven yet, but it does have evidence. It's not chance. And I'm not putting faith in chance. Chance of the gaps my ass, the two are hardly comparable. We know that lightning jump-starts life, and we know that the conditions of an early earth made it possible for the building blocks of life to come about. Guess what happens next? I love how you try to act like you know all of this when you clearly don't and you just pretend to.
"we don't need a reason to exist"? that's the stupidest thing i've ever heard an atheists say. give me one thing here on earth that we've created that has no purpose! look around that room you're in, tell me if you see anything that was made for no reason.
saying we don't need a reason to exist is very foolish my friend. very, very unwise.
We don't NEED a reason to exist. I didn't say we don't HAVE one, I said we don't NEED one. We can all keep living without a cause; it's foolish to, but we can. Ambition is the only thing giving us reason to exist, and nothing else.
You apply your stupid philosophical bullshit in an attempt to make up for the fact that you don't know ANYTHING about how abiogenesis or the big bang works. Don't come here telling me this hasn't been proven and that doesn't contradict when you don't know it.

People will soon realize they are stronger, smarter, and better than what they've been told by their leaders both religious and political. We are about to experience another paradigm shift, similar to the one we experienced when we realized the world is round..It will open our minds and we will become whole for the first time in our history. A united world and consciousness that will see us through until the end of man's days.
But it's quite obvious that we've fallen, as a race, from pride, honor, and courage because I see such deception in the words of people fighting to hold onto their comforts and self perpetuated havens. At least the general argument coming from atheists will consist of more truth than any religious opinion could create.

how did the universe begin? why is it here?
how did life begin? why do we exist? why must we exist? what is our purpose?
why is the universe so complex if there's no GOD?
why must matter even exist? why? philosophical questions an atheist can never answer, but religion CAN!
nice vid by the way!
science and religion go hand in hand, they compliment not contradict.
one answers half, the other answers half. 50/50. perfect unity! science alone cannot account for everything!!!

there is nothing in the universe that explains it's own existence!
YES MATTER DOESN'T HAVE TO EXIST! but it does, why? your philosophy is very bad!
they only contradict because (1)you want them to! (2) you don't understand one of them(religion)! it's one of the two!
one says life came through natural causes, that HASN'T BEEN PROVEN!!
you believe everything poofed out of nothing, i believe everything poofed out of nothing, the difference is i say GOD! there's BARELY A DIFFERENCE!

By being all philosophical about this you accomplish nothing. The philosophy of it doesn't mean shit if your answer is wrong, IE God did it.
And no, I don't want them to. That's how it works, you idiot.
One says life came about through nautral causes, one doesn't. How fucking simple is that?
And no, I don't say everything poofed out of nothing. You sorely misunderstand the big bang and you have no clue what you're talking about.

2- you rest your key arguments on unproven theories.
3- you don't see how religion and science compliment via philosophy, becasue YOU choose to blind yourself. and then you claim that to be "truth".

Just so that you don't exit after reading for a whole 1 second, i'll make this simple.
1) I use profanity because it's part of my casual vocabulary.
