I think there isn't and and I live quite ok with that, a bit unconfortable when I think about it but I have no reasons or evidence to think there is. The universe began by the big bang (it's a long complicated process, go on wikipedia). Why is begging the question. There doesn't need to be a reason.

Life began through abiogenesis. Lightning (which charges life) likely struck chemicals on an early earth that was still developing and still had a bunch of chemical stuff on the surface. Early earth conditions made life easy to form. We don't need a reason to exist other than procreation.
