  • I wonder how much chalk bored paint is? :|

  • OMG what scrap, I wouldnt have that in my house, what were you thinking?

  • You have good ideas, but do the execution and final projects all have to be so sloppy? Take the extra time needed to fully finish your projects properly and the results will not look like such a cluttered hodge podge. It's all in the details. I really am not trying to be nasty here, just a little helpful critique.

  • 3:30 my sister has that all over her michigan house

  • can you do a show about cross stitching or needlepoint that would be so rockin

  • my mind is always blown by threadbanger videos!! love the chalkboard paint.

  • Can you do a necklace holder that's NOT a tree? They look nice but it's really hard to get the ones in the back, and I always accidentally knock it over or get them all tangled up.

  • I think the ideas are great, but the execution not so much. Ive been watching a lot of diy vids and the finished result only makes the room look cluttered. I think they have to work a little bit more on the execution of their ideas.

  • shake, shake, shake ur paint. lol cute

  • I need some help.

I have a bunch of jewelry in a gorgeous jewelry box but It's not to much of me and I want something I can quickly pick out and wear.

I would like to know how I can make my own jewelry display, like a jewelry tree, stand, anything that I can quickly pick and choose then go off to school, but at the same time have it as a decor piece !

    Please help? :))

  • do the same and get a strong branch, or get a hook rack from the dollar store 2 hang necklaces. 4 earrings i bawt 1a peg-holder basket, like a plastic grid, so hook earrings hook onto the squares. i had 2 sellotape a bit of cardboard folded like an accordian on sides of the grid thing 2 make it stick out a bit from the wall so the earrings had space behind 2 hang onto it, pinned up the grid thing 2 the wall so i can easily get earrings off. the earrings themselves were the wall decoration

  • oh, okay that makes more sence :P

    thanks verry muchhh :))

  • Aww I love Gracie!

  • It said on the table " Have a great show, Will" Or something like that.... Is he a musician or an actor?

  • I love Meg, I think shes so awesome and confident!

Aswell as Rob & Corinne obviously :)

    x

  • That chalkboard paint and velcro is a genious idea! =)

  • Yes, chalkboard paint exists, it's been around for about 45 years (you used to be able to get it in green, don't know if that's still the case). But if you like the chalkboard paint idea, you'll love magnetic paint!!!

  • THIS DOMESTIC HOUSE TIP NO SUCK!

    Love,

    Ivekt.

  • Brilliant idea with the corkboard and velcro for tools etc.

    Thank you!

  • I want that dog :D

  • crrreeeaaaaatttiiiive!!

  • you can buy cork on its own, without the board. in tiles or in roles. office supply stores carry them, and sometimes even dollar stores....for those who like a cleaner look ;)

  • You drink soymilk? I love soymilk! :D

I like the chalkboard paint idea. :P

  • chalk-board paint that's awesome,I wish I would have heard of that years ago"if they had that then"... my son was diagnosed with autism and he spent hours out on the side walk which was difficult, I was harassed by the police because of his obsession with chalk!!

  • love the chalk bored!

  • hi! Do you have your own blog? I'd soooo like to see it!

  • I love your style!! I wish I could have such ingenuity! I have saved a few of your clips and plan on trying a few! I've had my home for almost five years and haven't done a thing since I first moved in!!

  • Awesome jacket and heart necklace!

  • Shake, shake, shake, shake yo' paint!

  • keep shakeing that paint

and dont open it with a wooden stick thing

  • hahaha. i loved that part:)

  • me too, me too! so funny.

  • NEAT IDRA

  • That's awesome!!!!! I've never heard of chalkboard paint!!!!!! Totally doing that! Also, you can get little blocks of just cork at like, Wal-Mart, and it would be easier to use, plus it comes with it's own adhesive. I'm putting those all over my walls.

    Thanks!

  • Your clothes are so great. I LOVE how you use recycled materials and reuse things as much as possible. Very smart, helpful and ends up looking so good.

  • BLOODY FANTASTIC

  • That mustard jacket is hot. Love it.

  • shake shake shake shake yo paint....but not with a wooden stirrer

  • This is filled with innovative ideas that you can put your own touch on. Really cool. And funny! That is important. This girl is hilarious.

  • Thanks! Meg ROCKS!

  • ... there is such thing as chalkboard paint?!

i was gonna just buy a wall made of chalkboard (when i get a job and money), but this is so much more fun!!!! and cheaper :)

  • There is such a thing as chalkboard paint. Try looking at Home Depot.

  • Your dog is so cute! :3

  • I can't wait until tomorrow!!! Bring on episode 3!

  • Thanks! This is good!

  • Don't forget to put some chalk board paint on your toilet door. My sister used to have that and all her friends left her messages there. Twas lovely.

  • That is a very clever idea. I like it.

    xo, Meg

  • DECOR IT YOURSELF is my new favorite show! I was worried it was just a few episodes. Is it going to be on forever now? That is really cool. My friends and I can't believe how great it is. Thank you, Threadbanger! We needed this show.

  • How much does a can of paint that size cost?

I would LOVE to do something like this on my wall and frame it!

  • this is kind of off topic but where are the best palces to find vintageish stuff...

  • And small little antiques shop would do. You could also check out garage sales and thrift stores come in handy. :) Oh, and you could also raid any older person's home (especially places like attics and basements). Uh, just ask'em first.

  • lol thanks :), i went through all my moms stuff from the 80's and from when she was a kid but now i need more... thanks for the sugestions!

  • I have a jewelry tree, too, but in my case it's a toilet brush I sprayed with dark blue colour - looks funky on my make-up table and everything fits on it, even earrings!

  • A toilet brush?! I am trying to picture it and am totally intrigued. Way to be innovative.

  • @ThreadBanger how do you dust for fingerprints?

  • Dude, pics?

    That sounds so cool!

  • Peanut Butter and duct tape? Bring it on, I am curious.

  • Spring Cle..aning???

What is this Cleaning you speak of?:D

I would use my Crativity For building things, But Penut butter and Ducktape Don't build to well...

  • i'm all about some organization, and this show is packed with great little tips. plus the hostess is funny and hot. i'm hooked.

  • Ooh! I liked this one a lot! However, if you find yourself using masking tape because you're not allowed to mark your walls, be careful about leaving it up too long unless you want to find yourself madly scrubbing residue off your walls like me.

  • I love this. I especially love the sound effects at the beginning (the hammer banging). No lie. Thank you for the organizational tips! I need as many as I can get!

  • ps. she put the scissors sharp side down moron.

  • haha, i love you.

  • love the tip, i never knew chalkboard paint existed until now! I love the hostess, she is so funny and creative!

  • having scissors sticking out like that isnt really all that safe....

  • well, maybe a scissors cozy could be made?its an idea?

  • wow i love the blackboard paint! i never knew a such thing existed. =]

    thanks for the wonderful ideas!

  • i really loved this episode. it was better than the first one, i thought and i disagree with the comments that this is on the wrong channel...I think it is a pleasant offshoot and obviously in the same related world...i really really like the girl who hosts this!

  • It's so cool to be able to see ThreadBanger videos so often!!!

Meg, I loved the chalk paint! I will try it someday when I move from this provisional "housing" to a more permanent "home".

  • it's cute, funny and in yor face betty croker, but on different chanel please.

  • its funny that u made a video about chalk board paint, i just went out and bought some like an hour ago to make a funky wall/chalk board mural for my room. Nice video!

  • i LOVED this episode!!! one entire wall of my room is covered in cork boards, but its still not enough :P

  • That must look really cool. Neat:)

  • I also agree with the other comments about making a separate channel for this show. Sorry, I watch threadbangers to learn about DIY projects for clothing and such, not how to Organize my workspace. Yes, it is good to organize, but I'm not here to watch about it.

  • Uh. Then just don't watch these episodes then? XD

  • as great as this is i sobscribed to this channel to learn about diy clothes. also this is "Threadbangers" which implies that the focus is on fabric, this does not seem to focus on that. I suggest a separate channel. I would not, however, be against keeping it all on the same website.

  • cant you give her a separate channel to post on?

  • so awesome thanks!

  • Great vid.

I'd love if you could do a video on things to do to your room taht are like, paint alternatives. Like more than a little segment with more ideas [does that make sense or am I talking in circles?]

  • BROOKLYN 4 LYF! SOUTHFORK 4 LYF!

Fantastic show, Miss Ellie would be proud.

  • We painted one drawer on a small set my husband uses for his socks n' stuff with chalkboard paint. I write lovey notes on it occasionally while he is in the shower. Makes for a nice surprise when he fetches his undershirts. :)

  • Meg is too funny. :) I love her.

  • Wow, really? That is so cool! Chalkboard, I never knew! Thank you, Meg, that is freaking awesome! And the re-using of cork is perfect, I always see those old boards in thrift stores and stuff. Great idea.

    FANTASTIC QUICK TIP!!!!

  • Wow! I LOVED the chalkboard paint idea! I am going to decorate my dorm room with it in college since we're allowed to alter our rooms to our likings! Freaking awesome. (I'm going to an art school.)

  • They also sell paint that magnets will stick to. So you could use the frame she cut out the corkboard, and put it on the wall, paint the wall with the metal paint and have a magnetic board.

  • That is a fantastic idea! How cool. Nice work, Ebbiesmom!

  • I never knew they had chalkboard paint O_O.

  • do you think it's actually cheaper to by the framed board and cut it out? cause otherwise they sell just stand alone corkboard...

I love the chalk cover idea :)

  • I just like to re-use what I have first, before I buy anything new. Re-purposing is one of the greenest things you can do to cut down on unnecessary consumption. But you can definitely buy it too! Whatever makes it easy for you.

  • if you're looking for cork boards... just wait a couple more months until people start moving out of dorms. Some of my best stuff comes from post exams worn out college students who just don't want to move things home for the summer!

  • haha speaking as one of those people soon to be moving out of the dorm, that's also the best time to get futons and couches. You wouldn't believe how many people around here just throw perfectly fine furniture away just because it's a hassle to tote around

  • seriously, GREAT tip. thank you randaIIjanet. any way to encourage repurposing and recycling instead of buying new is great!

  • I concur!!! Re-purposing and recycling, while making things look so lovely is high design.

  • cool

  • i love it, i need something like this in my room.
