i was going to say that the 997T is AWD but then i saw you dissconnected the differentials. well...ok..but does the system know to shut off the power delivery to the front axle when you simply dissconnect the diff?
@PorscheAddict The "system" you talk of no longer exists, the 800hp package uses a custom Switzer ecu, not the porsche ecu, so disconnecting drive to the front diff will by default mean the power only has one place to go, through the rears. This is quite common when dynoing 4wd's and is done often with early model GT-R skylines (R32, R33 etc)
At the german tuner 9ff the tuning starts at 750hp XD
But i should say, that here in Germany the gas seems to be much more high-grade. 93 octane is the lowest rate you can get at the gas station^^
Even 100 octane is on alomst every gas station available. okay, its waaaaay more expensive than in the US, but anyway^^
a few month ago i've seen on TV americans praying on a gas station, cause the price was "high"... not even half-price like we had, but nobody was praying here XD
Actually it is. It wasn't tested that way... as we've found it to be less stressful and quicker to dyno them with the front diff disconnected ... just as we have always dyno'd the 996TT's. We're only using these dyno pulls to verify the power curve and gather data. We would rather use real world performance numbers on the track, etc. to truly evaluate our work.
A standard 911 turbo was AWD. So why does the 800 horsepower tuning kit have RWD?:(

I have no doubt its fast, you do serious work. Were there ever any credentials on this car, lap or track times?

The whole point of the 997 instead of the GT2 is that the 997 is AWD right? Um... this one isn't.

how you disconnect the front weels ???
as i know that the 997tt is awd
YOUSEFG35 2 years ago
@YOUSEFG35 The driveshaft to the front wheels would be disconnected so only the rear wheels are driven

On AWD 997's, you can disable the front drive wheels by pulling the handbrake up one click (it doesn't engage the brake at all).

are you sure from this info ????

Another minor point, a 997TT is about $60k cheaper than the GT2......
