According to the director, it was Colin who noticed the shadow Bradley casts when he opens the door, and Colin's suggestion that he/Merlin watch the shadow first, and only turn when Arthur calls to him. Gorgeous, brilliant, intuitive --- that's our Colin!

This scene is so perfect!! The way Merlin looks at Arthur's shadow, Arthur's voice, Colin's incredible talent that just broke my heart, the light, the "it's a new day" line, the supportive Merlin and Arthur with his "you're a loyal friend, Merlin". And let's not forget about the sad epic music in the background... PERFECT!

He called him his friend :) aww I waited so long for that... But I still have to wait for Merlin to show his magic to Arthur.... Probably not gonna happen any time soon :( but this is still the most awsome episode ever... Arthurs is king :D that was my fav scene :)

Talk about angst!!!! And on the friend comment, it sucks because Merlin doesn't feel like he is. Any other time he would but after he somewhat caused Uther's death, he's just suffering inside. Gosh they're PERFECT for each other though! :)

this episode was so sad toward the end .... poor merlin... as amazing as this scene was it was still sad because arthur has no idea who merlin really is and merlin knows that and that he won't accept him for who he really is either :'(
