This song was such a hit in NY, there was a time when the 12" extended version was going for $75, an astronomical amount in those days. The Glory Days of Disco, it was, and right along with it, the Glory Days of nightclubbing. The fun we had in that era, OMFG, it was on a scale simply incomprehensible to the kids of today. New York City was the center of the world, as far as nightlife went. God, those were the days...:)
1976 What a year those were the better days when music was music not like the garbage you hear on certain radio stations. This song sure does bring back fun memories just enjoying life and without working just going to school and having fun in the summer.Just being free and hanging with friends. 70's music is #1
Wow December 1975 is when you were born.I was 9 years old. I love this song,I used to hear it on the radio during that time. Now I have it on a CD.The Soul /R & B stations back in

@AllRequired Despite the song being good, I'd say things were Way more formulaic. Listen to Any disco song and you will notice that they use the same instruments and similiar chords. Fashion allways exists and so do trends. All music is formulaic in every era.
This song was always a favorite of mine, it has 70's written all over it. Then, there was a cute girl named Robin who was in my class back when I was in middle school when this song came out.
This is such delicate disco composition

Back when things weren't so formulaic.
