I don't get why I was thumbs down. Watch from :40-:45. The guy on the left goes to do some technique but falls. It is verified that he makes a mistake because the red guy reaches back with his sword only to have nothing happen. It was obviously choreographed that the yellow guy would attack or something. It's still amazing....

It helps with their score. It's to stay in control of weapons that move so much. So if you move it fast and hard and stay in control the better skill you are considered to have. Remember this is a tournament.

It's realistic to lose against 2 opponents, and difficult to choreograph a seemingly glorious victory for a single person. Its also easier to make better endings if two people won against one.
