Prepping for our 2012 Vegetable Garden & Giant Tomato Grow out Challenge (by Weight).

Alright man, count me in! I started my seedlings last week with a pretty good line up for 2012. I've heard of Big Zack and that they grow to an enormous size as well as Giant Belgium. You're in zone 9? Where about. I'm in zone 7, Charlotte, NC

@dmjones7022 In in Modesto, CA. I was thinking of ordering some Giant Belgiums myself. Picked up some Mortgage Liftter seeds recently and figured I'd germinate those too lol. Porterhouse is supposed to get pretty good also. I'm skeptical about the Big Zack seeds i picked up on Amazon but will see. I'm going to check your channel - Gotta spy on the competition hehe.

@sumip90x I don't have a channel set up just yet; but will fill you in when I do. Have you tried to get seeds from Baker Creek or Tomato Fest? Baker Creek set up a store in Petaluma ,Ca. last year. I just checked this product out from this vid. check out the bountea video here on youtube.

Wow Helioforge, that's actually really funny, hahahahaha...I was going to say the same thing, being that cherry tomies are all that grow well here. lol.. anyways..... Man how I would love to challenge you and Jiana, big tomatoes just don't do well here maybe if I kept it in a screened enclosure, that's something i'll have to look into...take care and good luck with your challenge.

I started my seeds on Monday indoors. Let me see if I have any big ones planted :) Sure I have some BEEFSTEAK planted, bring it on brother hehe (laughing) I just hope we all have a nice garden this year. My main garden channel is Gospelgardener777 :) I have some gadening things from last year on this channel also. Nice meeting you.

Happy New Year. Nice to see you again. If I can rig something to keep the bugs out I'd take your challenge but so far who knows. Since everyone has different seasons perhaps the competition should be based on final weight of tomatoes not time. My growing season just ened and my winter started. I can't wait until March.
