I work in a call center. Some of them have different rules, he may not be allowed to terminate the call. He could lose his job. In my call center, we can NEVER disconnect on a customer. However I can tell them I'll get a supervisor on the line for them and put them on hold.

in a call center setting, you can warn the caller two or three times if he/she is uncooperative, harassing the representative or saying profanity. you can disconnect the call if he/she continues to do so. this is FAKE!

Umaarte lang yung customer. I just wonder why the call went over 5 mins, it could have been disconnected by the agent, and they definitely have the right. But then, the agent could have just not talked at all and engage in verbal collision with the customer. And then after the customer get tired after venting out, ask the customer "Are you ok ma'am?"
When the customer is venting out, we're just on mute while drinking coffee and we relax, chat and laugh with the other agents. That's a fact. :)

i've had the same problem when i was in manila,i tried to withdraw on some atm's na hindi pala nag a-accept ng visa / mastercard so maybe that's what the problem....some banks just dont accept foreign cards!may mga nakapost naman all over the atm machine kung nag a-accept sila ng ganito card o hinde ehh!!and she should not treat the the person on the phone like that!she might be having a bad day but she shouldn't act like that!! i've had the same problem when i was in manila,i tried to withdraw on some atm's na hindi pala nag a-accept ng visa / mastercard so maybe that's what the problem....some banks just dont accept foreign cards!may mga nakapost naman all over the atm machine kung nag a-accept sila ng ganito card o hinde ehh!!and she should not treat the the person on the phone like that!she might be having a bad day but she shouldn't act like that!! I experienced this before with BDO and I know how frustrating it is.. i JUST LOST THE P500 deposit I made so I called in and became so irate.. and the person I spoke with has no sense of customer service... we're talking about money here folks!!

If that doesn't work I would give them a warning about their langage and put a note in the acc that automaticly pulled up. If that didn't work I would get a superviser to take over the call.
