This game is just bad ass. And the whole AC series is just EPIC.

BTW, I never escape from battles, since I load up on tons of healing potions. There is no reason to, if you are good player. You play to win, no Pussy escaping, Ezio and Altair too bad ass for that.

@nukeurhouse12 Those games aren't sandbox games though... sandbox games have more freedom and they MIGHT be a little more fun to play.

Like AC 1 and II. GTA franchise. Spider man, Prototype, InFamous, Far Cry 2, Red Dead Redemption and many more. I like these because of the freedom you get, but hey! that's just my opinion :)

I think Altair was more quick to kill his prey . Where as Ezio causes immense pain before killing. Altair will always be my personal preference.

Once i took down 4 Brutes 2 Seekers and 6 Guards at the same time but at the end one seeker tried to run away

Killing in AC1 was much harder and more rewarding in terms of power. they were much more challenging and powerful, and the combat system was generally more fun for me. It's like My blade screamed for me to get in trouble.

In AC2 i felt like I was killing dummies.... Even at the start of the game at AC2, after the killing of his family, I was surrounded by a bunch of brutes and soldiers with no weapons at all, and I owned them all in less than 30 secs with my fists only... AC2's combat is easier.

What i dont get is why the smoke bomb doesnt have any bad effects on Ezio. The guards get blinded and start coughing

Honestly in AC2 I loved all the improvements and new gameplay elements, but I didn't much like that with 21 weapons you basically only had 3(with varying attributes). The more exotic ones should have had some special moves. Like the butcher knife, or the scimitar. And how do you slit someones throat with the maul?

I was thinking pretty much every weapon should have 1-2 unique animations(not to change effectiveness, but for flavor), sme counter/combo kill, but it looks different.

On top of that, there should be some special, practical attacks. Each weapon would have 1-2, and they would apply to certain enemies or situations. Some I thought of were curved swords like the old Syrian or scimitar could successfully counter long weapons(ezio would use the inner curve to swing the spear up and over his head and down to the ground, then step on the tip as he does a quick spin and does a decapitating(nearly) neck slash).

Or with pointed short weapons like the dagger or stilleto(not big ones like the sultans knife or ciquedea) if you attacked and they blocked, you have a split second to press the grab button and then the weapon hand button, which would make ezio switch the knife to his left hand as he used his right to life the enemys sword hand and stab him through the eye from underneath, then let go and turn around and grab the knife with his right hand as the guard fell backward off it behind him.

@Jarsia This would save wearing down the high level guards(but brutes would be immune) with failed counter kills. Alse maybe the captains sword or schaivona (spelling) could, if blocked, start a fast fencing combo(much faster B button mashing than regular combos, but just as rythmic) ending in a blow that could kill anything but a brute or seeker. Just a few examples, but this could keep things interesting and combat skillful, and give a reason to go back to earlier weapons.

I think they should've made fighting a lot more difficult-- especially against multiple enemies. The free running and blending options in the game are so cool, it would be more exciting if you were forced to use it to survive more often.

Pc version has failed us, AC2 pc will have copy protection which requires constant internet connection, if not full connected it closes the game and savegame is lost til last checkpoint

i've never fled a fight. and i had more problems with the Lancers than the brutes. they were easy to assassinate even in mid fight with the hidden blade.

Disarming is the best technique with Lancers and Brutes. Or side-stepping can be very effective too.

@WandererInWonderland i use another technique, let them hit ur block till their weapon slides on yours, the moment the attack ends hit him as fast as u can, if u did it quick enough u will hit him directly and the 2nd hit will be a finishing move.
