  • @devolutionizreal the smaller size reels we use average around 28# of drag. We rarely use more than 6 or 7#s while fighting fish in open saltwater. 3#s @ strike. Anything more just risks pulling or straightening a hook. And it will wear you out. In freshwater when in shallow or stumpy water we will go a bit higher. 6#s doesn't sound like much, but for those that have never checked with a scale might be surprised. Check it with a scale tied to the line coming off of the rod tip. Thanks! Mike

  • the clickers are ANYTHING but annoying,, its like fuckin music to the ears!,,, im from Quincy mass,, love my striper fishin,, those reels look nice,, i run shimano baitrunners,, and Penn 30s ,, i would like to try one of thos sometime,, they sound like the REEL deal,,,,, hopin to grab a fifty somday,,, nice engine on that boat too, just picked up a new 115 yamy last year... good luck
