I really love your voice for me Steve....would you consider singing for me at my party....would love you to be there...please get in touch with me and let me know what your fee is and when you are available.... Lorna...xxx
Steve is an amazing singer. This was the first X Factor and the producers were still finding their feet. Nowadays they employ brilliant songwriters and produce original songs for Winers 1st Albums..they learnet that lesson from Steve's reluctance to churn out covers. Steve was/is not a youth to be manipulated. He was 36 years old when he won this competition. I always voted for him. Very nice man.
Steve is releasing a Christmas Single on Dec 13th 2010, a superb remake of Don't Give Up, with his wife, jazz artist Eileen Hunter- check out QRistmas dot com for all the info! ALL profits to StreetSmart homeless charities.
Thanks Sookas I have also just watched frpm part 1 It was great to see Steves progress from audition to final. And the sour grapes from the other 2 judges seen in such a short space of time shows that they knew their acts had no chance.
Most people forget that Steve delivered some top notch performances on his way to winning the X Factor...it's a shame that his career since then is testament to how this show chews people up and spits them out. The harsh reality is, X Factor is not designed to develop long-term stars...it's designed to give false hope to ordinary people. The primary focus for the show is not the music, but watching the emotional highs and lows of the contestants, as the judges build them up, then tear them down.
Sookas you have made my day, have just watched steve brookstein part 1 through to part 10d, Steve Rules and so do you. was nice to re-live it thankyou very much
