guys... get over yourselves.. im sure hes perfectly capable of riding his horse properly.. you DONT know the horse you DONT the rider and im sure he has an instructor or someone like it to keep his riding together. I dont even know him. but, people go through stages where they make mistakes. im not taking sides but dear lord, BACK OFF!
Some people will take at stab at this video just for the principle it seems. If it bothers you, ignore it. Some need to learn to focus on the positive- and that is that you are 'focusing on letting him go forward and carry himself instead of being stilted and tense... and curling'. Learn to control that forward, and turn it into impulsion and cadence behind and he will learn to carry himself beautifully and balanced.
Nice to see the horse working from behind and in a longer, working frame. Nice impulsion and activity behind at some points too. Just a tip- make sure you throw in larger circles, figure 8s, teardrops etc. At times he is falling in and loosing balance, this was obvious when you change direction or track large Also, transitions WITHIN the gait are great for getting to horse balanced and working through the back.
Titchy, titchy. Gees Jacck, you will never get anywhere in life talking like that to people you dont know from a bar of soap. I wasnt exactly being offensive. But sure, whatever. You arent going to fix this particular issue by making your horse uneven. But you keep right on ahead. Ever stopped to wonder theres a reason you have a problem to fix? Hmmm, no, maybe dont answer that...
No, I have to say I agree with canter here jacck...I know that you hate me and all that. But there is a difference between a horse that is off the leg, forward and impulsive and a horse that is running. Here, he is just running. You need to slow him down a little. He doesnt need to go so fast he loses rhythm. Theres no point riding like that, whatever the issue is. I understand you want him forward, but there is a difference between forward and just running
Actually, I have no idea what she's said to you. She's not my trainer and just because she said it doesn't mean that I'm going to agree. I believe in forward riding, but not running. Especially for a horse that is behind, short, and choppy in their gait. You need rhythm in the increase, otherwise they lose their balance and tempo. Obviously I asked you a question BECAUSE I don't know Woody. I agree with the idea of riding forward, but not to the point where he looks uneven.
Well, you're running around in circles to the point where he's losing his rhythm and breaking into the canter. He sure is a talented boy with potential extensions, just take your tiiiiiiime. Slow it down, collect him back on his haunches, then GO!
Jacck, I'm not telling you HOW to ride. I just don't see how what your doing is helping him any since when he's in extension, he looks good - but then he goes beyond and canters. He's got a great trot when he's in rhythm, why push it? I'm just curious. I'm not bashing you here - calm down man.
