It's kinda ridiculous, because even if the replaced soaps with game shows, they would still be losing money and nobody would be watching it anyway... so why not sontinue airing GL? if not they should just shut down CBS daytime completely

I think it was later than that. The spot Holly(Maureen Garrett) was in, she replaced Beverlee McKinsey's shot, and Michael Zaslow was back on the show as Roger then. I believe he returned before Maureen did.
No, Maureen returned in December 1988; Zas didn't return until February 1989. I don't think that Holly replaced a shot of Beverlee's Alex, I think rotated between different shots.

You're right. They brought back Holly when Blake arrived. We didn't know she was Christina at first. (Remember that great shot at the church when Holly takes off Roger's mask and screams?) Anyway--I did the research document for bringing Roger back. TPTB wanted to make sure we didn't see his head bouce off the rock when he "died" in the jungle. I wanted them to bring him back so I fudged it to say we didn't! lol I wanted Roger back on the show badly.

So I don't know who the male character is after Sam and before Chelsie. And that is Chelsie at the very end, right? Someone know...?
