As quote un quote "bad" as this is, in all fairness, it's the early 1960's, and all pre-Bruce Lee choreography was...not quite on the same level as what we have today. Even the revered Kwan Tak Hing/Wong Fei Hung movies, though much better than this, isn't quite up to today's level. And this scene is about on the same level as Wang Yu's movies. Interesting that this pre-dates "The Manchurian Candidate", which was often credited as having "the first" depiction of karate in a US film.
Yes, that's right, it's "racist" because it's a joke against white men... MADE BY A WHITE GUY. I haven't heard a statement that ignorant or shit-brained since the last time I saw a Rush Limbaugh clip on The Daily Show. Good job Wonder Bread...
it doesn't matter. if anyone said that about any other race than white they would immediately be criticized for it. there shouldn't be a double standard, it shouldn't be acceptable to joke about white people but not about any other race
Joel Holt was a very positive thinking individual who had hardly any money to do this film. All things considered, I think he did a fair job for the time. This was before martial arts were well known, martial arts movies were non-existent, and you couldn't even find karate in a dictionary.
dude, in the mid 19s they didnt have good cameras, if they did a fast move in a figh it wouldnt be captured in the camera coz they cameras weren't good.

Wow, this was so bad that it was actually funny. It was like watching people with down syndrome fight each other using a f'ed up version of karate.
