This song was from Peter Cetera's forgotten self-titled first solo album. I bought it on cassette back when it came out, and still have it. Good tune, and unfortunately forgotten on today's radio airplay--seems that most DJ's mistakenly site Peter's solo music beginning after he left Chicago.
This came out at about the same time as "Limelight" by Rush which wasn't exactly making things easy. The Rush tune became a big classic thru the decades while this song kinda faded away. Too bad, because it's a nice little rocker and an interesting change of pace for the Chicago vocalist.
I was nearly sure I was THE ONLY PERSON who remembered this song. Sophomore year of high school, San Jose, on the FIRST Sony Walkman. Thanks for posting the album version, takes me right back.
My fave Cetera tune...so glad they finally put it out on cd!
