Do you know that for a fact? Do you have proof that this is going on? There's a lot of word of mouth rumors that go on in America. They made a big deal about Russia attacking Georgia and apparently it was the other way around. I don't think you should spread rumors which you have no proof of. I personally haven't seen any footage of chinese kids being plucked away from their families. They said that Iraq was holding a load of nuclear weapons and later retracted themselves as it wasn't true.

The children's parents placed them in those special training boarding schools (from the documentary I saw when I was in HK). The parents think a young kid can gain perserverance and discipline from this experience. When training gets hard, some kids want to go home but they're really mature because they do think about the disappointment the family would feel if they'd given up.The cost seems big, but the benefits are money ie. commercials, pride & having struggled to succeed.They work very hard!

If i were a sore loser: 1.) I would not have made the comment about the hard work they put in, 2.)I would not have commented about all the countries...not just the US, 3.) I would not have been shocked that the Chinese platform divers lost b/c they were very very good. I am saying that the scoring was a little weird and precarious at best in some of the gymnastics events.
