  • maybe more people would want to change the world if this video had more than 37,000 views =(

  • AZERBAIJAN !

  • Azerbaidzani

  • We...Azeris mostly are proud of him, mostly because he is AZERİ..And we dont wait or want from ANTİAZERİS love him because of his nation or sth about not science or not his work...LET everybody live with his/her dreams, loves and thus we will happy.

  • I am proud of them He is genius of Azerbaijan. He is the most famous scientist of the all world.Long live Azerbaijan!

  • Comment removed

  • @ignatei Info: 33% of Iran popularity is Azeris and His dad is Iranian Azeri. He is current Honorary chairman of the Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations in America.

  • @Tural192 Yes, a large number of Iranians are Azeris. And yes I think Dr. Zadeh received many honorary positions. As I said though he is one of my favourite scientists not because of his background, but because of his work and contributions.

  • @ignatei I appreciated...we can say he brought revolution to science and we azeris are proud of him.

  • Well it looks like the robot over lords will soon rise!

  • Is he Iranian, Ajerbaijanian, Soviet...

    It seems fuzzy...

  • 2 minutes of credit at the end. what the fuzz is that all about?

    Greetings from Iran

  • AZERBAIJAN IS PROUD OF YOU!!!

  • What a terrible job of explaining fuzzy logic.

  • Use fuzzy in my work, amazing vs. classical control, less headache, less math. A brilliant man.

  • HE IS AZERBAIJANIANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

  • he is Iranian, ask himself, Azarbayejan is a part of large cultural Iran. i like people judge Iran and Iranians with Professor zadeh.

  • We proud of Azerbaijan!!!

  • why doesn't the famous world chess champion Harry Kasparov like Lutfi-zade say the same thing and say anything good about his homeland Azerbaijan? His mother is armenian and father a jew. He was taught chess by Azeris in Baku. and became world champion while he lived in Baku. Now he lives in the US and Moscow. He always emphasizes that he is armenian. I guess the difference between Azeris and Armenians who are very nationalistic and chauvinistic.

  • He was born in Baku in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani father mother was Jewish

  • @catman5555533 maybe your father mother was jewish but not Azerbaijanians

  • Fuzzy logic has been used by humans as long as i experienced when i was 4 or 5 years old. I would say i was experimenting with artificial intellegence or lateral thinking in 1953. it happend like this i used to wall almost everyday to ny relative's house by a foot path full of coconut tree on both sides. one day i got fed up and decided to walk closing my eyes knowing fully well that i should be able to walk using my knowledge of distances of trees from the foot path..AI and FL applied then.

  • This man, irregardless of his race, creed, or religion has made an incredible contribution, to the rest of mankind. That is what should be remembered.

  • hi everybody, in fact Prof. Lotfi A. Zadeh is international not especial location

  • @mohsenfardi

in fact every international belongs to special location!!!

  • in 1973, Zadeh founded the field of Fuzzy logic. This was the first major contribution to logic from the Islamic world after more than five centuries."

    ( wiki)

Is this really a contribution of the Islamic world? Or maybe just a Muslim person? (Because there is a difference)

  • Holy shit

    His mother was Jewish!!

According to the Jewish religion, anyone who his mother was Jewish - he himself - a Jew!

  • According to Azerbaijani Nation anyone who is father from Azerbaijan he is also from Azerbaijan

  • yes) For Azeris he is Azeri , for Jews he is jew)

  • thanks for your great information

  • you're right, take it easy;)

  • Well, only in Iran can someone from the 3rd grade be put on to the 8th!!! 3rd, 8th, well, it's all fuzzy there!!! ;o)

  • Also, given how smart he is, he should recognize that his comment about how his life in Iran might have turned out, belittles the life of all Iranians. And regardless of its truth, is an egomaniacal comment to make.

  • but he is right. you can not reach your potential in a country like iran. a fact can not be ego maniacal or humble. fact is fact. btw i am iranian too.

  • I also want to comment that even though I admire his mathematical accomplishments, and I did in fact base part of my graduate research on fuzzy logic, I find him to be even more proud of himself than his accomplishments warrant (as hard as that seems to be since his accomplishments are very substantial!).

I think this is probably because of him being an Iranian. Iranians are usually highly accomplished with an ego that in almost every case eclipses even their own accomplishments!

  • A minor correction (or perhaps a major one depending on whom you ask.):

    His name is NOT Lotfizadeh.

His full name is Lotfali Askarzadeh (لطفعلی‌عسکرزاده )which he shortened to Lotfi A. Zadeh.

  • Arab man , The thing is Lotfizadeh is an Iranian and this is a unique gift from god to be Iranian because God granted Iranian A high level of IQ to reach human to their destiny .and that's the point and when an Iranian man goes to america he has his iranian root .

  • You're not Iranian. This kind of reasoning stems from Western perspective. It is an issue that the West is still wrestling with.

In its 2,500 yrs. of civilizations Iranians never had superiority complex issues. If you know anything about Iran it has diverse population (including Arabs). You're someone's puppet or here to provoke fight

  • If I'm puppet who are you???

You're an iliterate lazy man who doesn't know any thing about Iran .Yes,the land of Iran has some arab people but they are not iranian .They are immigrants who came to Iran near 1300 years ago .You're so iliterate because you don't know that Iranian have 7000 years of Civilisation .Sorry you need to participate at primary school.

Moreover ,they know themesleves as Arabs .

  • emad9191, I'm not sure but are you saying that Iranians "know themselves as Arabs"?? This is simply not true. The Persians were conquered by Arabs at some point which influenced their writing/symbols. By adopting Islam, Persia nor Persians became Arabic (a common misconception). And yes, Iran/Persia has a documented 7000+ year history. FYI, Farsi is an Indo-Germanic language...

  • My friend acidpress ,I said "the land of Iran has some arab people but they are not iranian .They are immigrants who came to Iran near 1300 years ago " .In my state , I meant "they" for those arab people living in southwest of iran .Iranian are proud of being Iranian .All Iranian like their background before invasion of arabs to iran .The thing is Iranian have Aryan Race .Arab people are from sami race .even the name of german is rooted from a part of Iran which is called today Kerman .

  • You're sick in the head. Your a logic is childish.

Go join your friend Ahmadinejad. He is waiting for idiots like you.

  • Be patient buddy (previtvet) ,that's not really your fault .That's because of your low knowledge .Nobody expects more than this of you .I'm totally sure when you graduate from your primary school ,you will undestand it .I promise i forgive you .:))))

  • Dear emad9191, I figure something got lost (in translation?). Thanks for setting the record straight. Yes, Iran has a nice variety of people living within its borders, including Arabs. I hope it will return to the magnificent multicultural and highly civilised nation it once was rather sooner than later. It still is in many ways, but you know what i mean. Didn't know that part about Kerman. Will have to run this by my Persian friends. Cheers!

  • You disgust me emad!

-- to the others, don't this iranian-para-skinhead too serious. He's probably a poshte-konkoori or otherwise just a common a loser; unfortunately we have a lot of them back there...

  • emad9191, i am also iranian but we do not have high IQ. Iranian are the 99th from the IQ level. check it out and don't claim that we have a high IQ. You would be surprised to see what countries are ahead of us. so don't exajerate...

  • I don't know how they could measure the IQ of Iranian but it's totally unverified .If you do't think so ,you can check it out the no of Iranian scholars in united states as compared to other immigrants and also with respect to popualtion of iran .That's an evidence which proves my claims .That's table is really funny .tha's was built for kidding .

  • nations with inferiority complex exaggerate...and i am iranian too.

  • IQ doesn't mean anything buddy.. They are proven to not measure one's innate intelligence and are specially selected to make whites look better.

  • The most beautiful thing that he said " I could have stayed in Iran, had very good life BUT, it will be the life of a well-to-do person WITH NOTHING SERIOUS TO DO" !!!!!!!!!

So i can conclude from his speech that if he stay in Iran, he will not do any thing

  • yes probably you are right! this is a prove that european or white americans are not better than the other races, they just have a better political system that allows "everybody" in this system to reach more!

  • Good Job...

  • His last name is Iranian and means Born from Lotfi. "Lotfi" may be translated "kind". Born of the kind roots.

I am Iranian. I am also American having spent most of my life in America. Azarbaijan was part of Iran, then it was split into two parts between Russia and Iran and there has been efforts to make it an independent country. If ones goes to the White Pages and call every Lotfizadeh listed, almost without exception, hey are all from Iran.

  • What matter is Lotfi A. Zadeh's contributions to science regardless of his nationality, religion, etc. Let us put away this notion of defining borders. The notion that has kept many countries and organizations backward.

When you erect impenetrable borders between you and everything else, you push life's immense abundance away from your experience. The walls of exclusion and judgment that you create do quickly become your prison.

  • his father is from Ardebil and his mother is russian, he was born in Baku, then they had to move to Iran.... for more info see wikipedia

  • Hey buddy , Lotfizadeh was born on Azerbaijan next to iran ,but his father was iranian .and his mother was from Azerbaijan .For your information , Azerbaijan was a part of land of iran and most people living in Azerbaijan have iranian credential.

  • You sir and your fellow scientists, are what all human beings can offer to the world, wether being Iranian or not. Thank you for being an inspiration to us all.

  • He is not Irannian, he just lived in Iran for some years. He declared several times that he is not Irannian. He is from one of the small countries in north of Iran (I can't remember exactly which one)

  • mymerol, having an Iranian father, regardless where you are born, makes you Iranian. Not exclusively. You could have a French mother, be born and raised in France, be a French national, but also be Iranian simply because your father is.

  • I would say "soft logic" instead of "fuzzy logic".

یادش به خیر کلاسهای دکتر کارو لوکاس در دانشکده فنی. چقدر fuzzy

    بود

  • @arf31: Shadravan Dr. Caro Lucas 2 hafteh pish fot shodand... Roohesh shad...

  • @surfinusa1978 Yes unfortunately :-(

  • This man is a genius it shows Tehran University in 1942, less than 10 years from its inception educated men if this caliber!

  • Very proud of him, being an iranian

  • he is a variable resistor in a world filled with toggle switches

  • Amazing, considering some of the opposition faced in this

  • awesome job thx
