I just had a terribly draining day. I thought of Madeline Kahn going "fl-flames FLAMES on the side of my face" and I smiled a little. Then I dug this video up and now I'm at the top again. Thank you, Craig. :) I know almost all the movies that the clips are from except 3:41 and 3:54. Can anybody help? Thanks so much! :D
@anobaini love that scene from "Clue" too!..the scenes you aked about are from "London Suite" at 3:41 and "Judy Berlin" at 3:54 that was her last film released after her death
@MADWORLD1427 Thank you for the quick response. :) I have to get my hands on "London Suite" and I have seen "Judy Berlin" just once (as opposed to other MK movies that I watch repeatedly). I find it difficult to watch both because of the emotional impact of the film itself and because I know it's her last film and her performance was such a revelation and I despair over what that revelation could have meant for her career, had she not been taken from us too soon. *sigh* Thanks again! :)
i left out way too many movies in my videos, and i wanted to use more modern songs but the songs i use are kind of old since i don't know much about modern music...in short your videos are probably a lot better. oh well, i might put them up anyway.
lol i feel weird for having seen every single movie featured in this video.
except possibly 2:52...? it looks familiar but i can't identify it.
i actually made a few tributes like this before i found your youtube channel. i wanted to put them up but yours are so much better than mine that i don't think it would be worth it.
One of the greatest comic talents to ever grace the screen! You know the Academy Awards are all bunk because she wasn't nominated for "What's Up, Doc?" or "Young Frankenstein" and she didn't win for "Paper Moon" or "Blazing Saddles." She was always the brightest, funniest performer in anything she was in. She probably made me laugh more than any actress ever. Gone too soon but never, ever forgotten! Thanks for the vid!!

I wish you would have put this scene in from Madeline: "Stop ..could you please, step on the same foot, at the same time. MY TITS ARE FALLING OFF! ("HISTORY OF THE WORLD" Part 1). I'll never forget her in that movie.lol. thanks (history of the) MADWORLD1427.
Awww. Love this. MK was a talented comedienne. She gave many iconic performances. Your video is a wonderful homage that showcases her gift. So glad you ended with Paper Moon, my favorite Kahn film. Also loved your editing that keeps time with an offbeat Carpenter's cover, which works perfectly in your video: very smart choice by the way. Extremely enjoyable piece. I smiled all the way through, then added your video to one of my favorite film clip playlists. Another great one, friend. TY! =)
Yeah, which makes it even more bizarre that this event passed me by! I guess I must have known about it but it had slipped my memory,as some things tend to do when they don't directly affect you! Still,it's a great loss!
A great reminder of a comic talent who shone among a firmament of comic talents...and how remarkable the gods that put them together...Brooks, Mars, Wilder, Korman, Feldman, Leachman....and KAHN......a goddess from a golden era.
a lady who was very pretty and had a talent of keeping me in stitches...even when she sang that duet with Grover all those years ago on Sesame Street. when she passed away in1999, it felt like the world stopped. but when things started turning again, all I could do was laugh...especially when it came down to my favorite line from Clue: "Husbands are like Kleenex: soft, strong, and disposable." thank you, Craig.
I thought that she was also great in Moore's '78 spoof, "The Cheap Detective". Mel Brooks really knew how to highlight the best in Ms. Khan. It's great that you paid tribute to her, Craig. More should know & remember her work. Nice video! :-)
MadWorld1427, I don't know what to say. Madeline Kahn was one of my favorite actresses of comedy which I sadly haven't thought about in a while and your tribute just brought back all my fond memories of her. Do you by any chance know the title of the movie in which her character was stuck in an elevator? I think I've seen it before but I can't remember the title for the life of me.
A talented Madeline Kahn, who deserves to be known for coming generations! I really enjoyed the video!! The music, the choice of films are at the TOP!! Great Craig, you were able once again to highlight the essence of this excellent actress!!
Oh,my word,do you know,I didn't even know she'd died! But then even if it had been reported on British news channels,it probably wouldn't have made much impact, which is really tragic.Ms Khan,in my humble opinion, was greatly unappreciated, certainly outside America.I absolutely adored her most of all in "Young Frankenstein" "That's 'Fronk-en-shteen'! And "Blazing Saddles",lol,oh & let's not forget "What's Up Doc?".She even elevated "Clue" What a loss to film!
Madeline is by far one of my favorite actresses ever. Sadly she left us too soon...but with a wonderful legacy that you have so expertly presented here. My favorite scene of hers is the "obscene phone call" scene from High Anxiety. Too funny. What talent...and what a wonderful job you have done here. LOVE THIS!
you just made my day, man. thanks.
