I have a GR-50 that I picked up back in 97. Do you know what year the Roland GR-50 came out? Do you know where I could get mine serviced? It still works, but it's been screwing up lately. The "Bowed Strings" patch is a blast to play some Metheny stuff to. Closest sound to his synth on tunes like, Extradition, Are You Going With Me. you need get a cv to midi converter. The SPV-355 is a great sounding synth when it isn't doing its pitch to volt thing. BTW the SPV-355 can be used as a pitch to volt converter, and has the ability to control external synths with CV / Gate inputs. But cool video! Its about time someone posted this synth.

I love the spv355. I usually run it through a lengthy signal chain, plus I use the effects loop (internal). It's a beautiful old synth.

But i can play on it right from the guitar - that's give me some extra ability (vibrato, perfect controlled pitch bend)
