I used to have a 1.6i mk6 , that's a good base for 'low-level' tuning ...thanks to Pumaspeed and some others these cars are nice basic setups for a beginner's tuning-hobby and even to take it on a track .
Ford may have it's troubles , but their petrol-engines are quite nice to work on and reliable in tuning aswell , with proffessional support offcourse.
@bordenwesley yeah supercharge a 1.4i ...you're kidding me...no stock 1.4 internals can cope well enough with high-powered parts ..you'll end up breaking it or sticking in so much money you'd better buy another car .

Just one a small low-pressure one that'll give this guy 35-50 extra ponies to play with. The weakest part of this car's driveline aren't the internals, it's the transmission.

I can't believe people are still using these fad junk filters. They don't filter nearly as good as a regular paper or nano fiber filter and they can mess up sensors on some of these new cars.
@BMXBOBO Depends on what car you put it on. Newer models have sensor's etc which fuck your ECU up. On the older cars, like the mk 1 and mk2 punto's etc your alright. It's just all these new car's. The manufacturer's way of stopping you from modding your ride.
Put the original filter & housing back, you will get more power! K&N is a scam aimed at young drivers with small engined cars. K&N has small surface area so bigger holes to allow dirt through. The oil breaks MAF sensors & causes serious damage on turbo cars. They need cleaning every 5000miles as performance drops quickly. Biggest waste of money ever.

dude, u can get a k&n simple replacement filter cheap, and there will be some improvement, but if u get what is called a "57i" it gives u the nice cone shape and pulls more air in giving u even more. Haqving said that, what u are going to get is effectively nothing power-wise, u may get a few extra hp in the high revs, but u loose it at the other end and u will never notice 3hp over 5 gears. It will make your car sound nice tho lol. k?

Everything Ive read says otherwise, you do gain power from a CAI. Thats why I did my Ford Ranger, check out my CAI modification video on my channel. I can tell you that my Ranger not only has more perceived power it also gets better MPG. How is this possible you may ask? Its all about engine efficiency. A CAI decreases the pumping losses which increase engine efficiency and that gives you more power, and at least in my case better MPG.

infacet the k&n air filter dose make all the diffrance i have one on my yamaha yzf 600 (motorbike) and it all the better if you have a nice aftermarket back box or can im all for the aftermarket air fillter etc they let your engine breath more easly and they add a little bit more bhp you shut get your car on the dyno and your see what im saying is true .
i moved to france not that long ago, the switch from right to left was unnoticeable. prefer the gear stick on my right, specially when you got a stiff gearbox!
only cars with turbo's have dump valves, you can by those shitty sound effect things that make a similar pathetic attempt of making the sound.
Have you got a stock zorst on that car or a aftermarket? notice a big change acc wise?
The only real reasons to buy a K&N are because they last 30k miles+ (claimed 50k, but its BS unless you only drive highway) and because you get slightly better gas mileage, on SOME vehicles.
i do not like those cone airfilters, too noisy and all show no go. i tried one and there was no perf increase, stock system does fine especially if they have a cold air inlet. yours might be u using warm air now.
it doesnt really matter about the filter. but ye most people buy them becuase of the sound thats why i want to get one. but apparently you really feel a difference if you get a sports exhaust as well as a filter. all good brands will boost by 10 hp.
Cone air filters are a waste of time. You may feel a bit better throttle response and thats it. You do not gain 10bhp from it. Even turbo motors struggle to gain 10bhp from a cone filter.
yup just the air filter. ripd out the stock filter and wacked in the k&n! air filters sound diffrent on every car! if you put one in a vauxall then you get a low bassy sound to it as for fords well you get that sound from it lol! plus they add a maximum of 10bhp not much but as tesco say... "every little helps" lol

yes i do its a 1.25 zetec engine but!!!!! its recently had an engine remap and body work done to it so this video is nothin anymore! the engine remap sorts out the air filter... this mean the car works at its maximum performance with the air filter as for the body work il probs get a short video of it!

1 tip when putting in a new air filter, disconect the cars battery, then after putting in the air filter reconect the battery and this will reset your cars computer and let i know that its getting better air flow and will run better. ps nice sound mate.

yea there worth it, it makes your car sound nice and a bit of a beast! erm i dont think they use much more fuel but u only here the sound from the filter when u put your foot on the accelrator so suppose you probs would use more lol

camera quality, i was only using a cheap mobile phone coz technology was shit back then (3 years ago) and as for it being slow well i have no ansa you can see the speedomiter and i was doing 103mph on a shity dual carriage way.

maybe you should rename this video to 'testing my slow peice of shit ford' or 'testing new air filter which makes no difference to the power'. how can you claim your fiesta is 'nippy', are you being serious. my brother had a 1.6 zetec escort and that was stupidly slow, i can't imagine how slow a 1.25 fiesta would be.

Everything Ive read says otherwise, you do gain power from a CAI. Thats why I did my Ford Ranger, check out my CAI modification video on my channel. I can tell you that my Ranger not only has more perceived power it also gets better MPG. How is this possible you may ask? Its all about engine efficiency. A CAI decreases the pumping losses which increase engine efficiency and that gives you more power, and at least in my case better MPG.

AND the 1.25 fiesta zetec engine was tuned by yamaha, so its pretty much as good as a 1.25 engine can be. idiot

infacet the k&n air filter dose make all the diffrance i have one on my yamaha yzf 600 (motorbike) and it all the better if you have a nice aftermarket back box or can im all for the aftermarket air fillter etc they let your engine breath more easly and they add a little bit more bhp you shut get your car on the dyno and your see what im saying is true .

i moved to france not that long ago, the switch from right to left was unnoticeable. prefer the gear stick on my right, specially when you got a stiff gearbox!
only cars with turbo's have dump valves, you can by those shitty sound effect things that make a similar pathetic attempt of making the sound.
Have you got a stock zorst on that car or a aftermarket? notice a big change acc wise?

The only real reasons to buy a K&N are because they last 30k miles+ (claimed 50k, but its BS unless you only drive highway) and because you get slightly better gas mileage, on SOME vehicles.

i do not like those cone airfilters, too noisy and all show no go. i tried one and there was no perf increase, stock system does fine especially if they have a cold air inlet. yours might be u using warm air now.

it doesnt really matter about the filter. but ye most people buy them becuase of the sound thats why i want to get one. but apparently you really feel a difference if you get a sports exhaust as well as a filter. all good brands will boost by 10 hp.

Cone air filters are a waste of time. You may feel a bit better throttle response and thats it. You do not gain 10bhp from it. Even turbo motors struggle to gain 10bhp from a cone filter.

yup just the air filter. ripd out the stock filter and wacked in the k&n! air filters sound diffrent on every car! if you put one in a vauxall then you get a low bassy sound to it as for fords well you get that sound from it lol! plus they add a maximum of 10bhp not much but as tesco say... "every little helps" lol

yes i do its a 1.25 zetec engine but!!!!! its recently had an engine remap and body work done to it so this video is nothin anymore! the engine remap sorts out the air filter... this mean the car works at its maximum performance with the air filter as for the body work il probs get a short video of it!

no exhaust, its standard exhaust just a big cover for the exhaust but doesnt make much of a diff u cant really here it unless your behind the car and its geting reved
