@WeedFlow420 some states do allow underglow lights as long as they are certain colors, others do not allow them to be TURNED ON while driving. most you could get is a fine for being a "distraction' ....they cannot tell you to uninstall them. they ARE legal to buy and own, it's just where you can have them on or not.

certain colors are illegal in different states.... basically you cannot wield the same colors above or in ur car that a cop/fire or any emergency vehicle has.

anything under is allowed in most states though some cops will pull you and "request that you turn it off as it is a distraction"

@SillyStickers Your comment is correct but i managed to find a loop-hole! This works with red underglow only but If it's a solid red color (no blinking or effects) and you hook it up to your brakes, it will only come on when you push the brake pedal. This way the lights are considered "brake lights" and not underglow! It's considered no different than one of those LED brake strips! I asked a few local cops if they thought it was ok, they were reasonable and approved.

Now in Maryland its legal for motorcycles to have them for the sake of increased visibility, so there is no real argument now. If anything if you see a car with an under-glow kit you WILL know where that vehicle IS at all times. Its just another way to restrict what people from doing something they would like to do with the vehicle THEY own.
