This made disassembly and reassembly extremely easy !! I have grown up aroung guns and have many but have just purchased my first two 1911's and after watching your video I have completely disassembled and reassembled both and am now looking to put a new trigger in my Colt Defender. Dont like the plastic. Thanks for the help !!
good instructional video. using grease as an adhesive and inserting the magazine into the well to help with sear/disconnect/plunger lever installation were great tips.
on my para, i had to move the thumb safety half way between on-safe and off-safe before i can push it out. your video just says to "push up and kinda jiggle it out..." which is a little vauge (maybe it's different on the remington?). other than that, i was able to disassemble my entire 1911 from your vid. thanks.
I wish you would have had this video anout 2 months ago. I could not get the sear, disconnect, and trigger bar lever to line up in my SIG 1911. It seems so easy with that grease trick! Great video!!
You make it look easy. That stupid trigger block plunger arm has been a nightmare for me. I bought a defective gun right out of the box, and sent it back to Para, who have had the gun for the past five weeks, and its still not done. If I knew what you know, I could have replaced it myself in 5 minutes! lol. Good video.
Damn it, had i watch this a couple of hours ago, i would have not spend the last hour working on my damn kimber. I would say ditch the color inlay, i think it grabs too much attention
Wow! That barrel/bushing looks amazing! You did a great job there!
How do you remove the plunger tube? Assuming it's removable. Not the plunger/spring assembly, the tube that attaches to the frame.

Does the slide lock suppose to go through the little loop near the ear of the barrel? Thanks

I'm taking forever to put mine back together. I just can't pop the slide lock back. You made it look easy.

@152snook
To large of a gap. It just looked funny and wasn't the most comfortable.

You made that look way too easy. Beautiful R1. Barrel bushing and muzzle crown look nice and tight!

Beautiful work! Doing some custom work to my 1911's right now. Just wondering about the bushing was your's stainless steel to begin with?
Mister19Eleven 8 months ago
@Mister19Eleven
Yeah it was a high polished stainless. I filed the edges down and took 600 grit sand paper to give it a satin finish.
