@punctualjinx exactly right. Like the girl from extreme makeover home edition. She was all alone on the road, and didn't have her seat belt on. she was texting, lost control, flipped, was ejected, and her truck landed on her. Her mother worked at her school and the aid came an an notified her that her daughter wasn't at school yet.She called but her daughter never picked up. Her mother left 2 look for her daughter. She came across her daughters car. She looked inside but she wasn't..continued...

@punctualjinx there. She figured she had gone to look for help. Then she found her daughter, her daughter was laying in the weeds, her truck on top of her. She was in and out of consciousness. Her mother dialed 911 and was airlifted to the hospital where she later died.

Sued for what? For their subscribers being stupid for texting while driving? That is about as retarded as burgulars breaking into homes, injuring themselves and suing the homeowner. What ever happened to "personal responsibility"? Oh yeah, nobody is responsbile for their personal actions anymore, it's always somebody else's fault. People like that make me sick.

you cannot sue in the contract you agree to it state Verizon Wireless is not responsible for personal injury. But anyway it is just stupid lol the cell phone company isn't forcing you to enter that text YOU decide whatever happens is your fault.

@capitananonmas no unfortunately they can not sue the network in order for them to sue the network would have had to do something to force them to text and drive the network hasn't the person would have been texting when they had the choice not to. Glad I don't have you for a lawyer lol.

technically you aren't it's called being a distracted driver but people are dumb, rules are needed or else people don't use common sense.

What I don;t understand is how people are allowed to text or even use a laptop while driving, but they're not allowed to use a phone.

The rules need to be rethought....
