I dunno about you. But I love wearing corsets. I wear them all the time. Not like vicotrian ones, but more modern/sexy corsets. All the time! They make me look amazing and my bf loves it. As for the organ thing, you can change how to lace it up to however tight you want to lace the corset. If you have it tight, yeah it'll move organs, but you don't need it that tight.

ANYONE who doesn't agree with people who change for the shows should be arrested and thrown in jail. Lets see TV stars, foorball, bodybuilders, boxers and et al. Lets include all the Dr, who give cosmetic or steroids or other stuff. Lets do all the make up liars and the exercise videos. Yea ! that was what I wanted to hear most, the negative effects from someone who still wants to wear a corsett this tight !  For that woman to go from a 23" waist to an 18" one isn't really that impressive. I dont doubt I could loose 5" from my 33" waist in 3 months with a corsett.

Your internal organs are supposed to move around and be squished, or else we wouldn't ever be able to move without breaking something. And tightlacing doesn't rearrange or squeeze your organs anymore than being pregnant.

@AkashaOConnell Pregnancy is natural. Corsets & the results they produce are not. Although organs are malleable/able to adjust to tight lacing, the reality is that they weren't built for it. The process is unnatural. And I think forcing your body into an unnatural state is disturbing. Especially if it's purely for aesthetics.

I didn't intend to start an argument. People seem to respond to opinions different from their own as if they're planned/personal attacks. I just wanted to share my opinion

with tight-lacing *specifically*, a corset worn 24 hours a day, or 23, will only last a few weeks because the person not only wears it all day but sleeps in it also. It's a fetish, a way of life and will alter the torso if 'trained' hence waist-training. Look for spiral steel at the sides and bust combined with flat steel front and back only for true ability to reduce the waist.

As for modern problems like "weak abdominal muscles", that isn't entirely true. Women can still take off the corset to shower, swim and, more importantly, exercise. Regardless of weight loss and figure reshaping, you should still exercise, which would prevent weakening of the abdominal muscles.

I don't see why modern women see this as torture or "barbaric". And they were only half right back in the day. Corsets themselves never caused the problems. It was women who laced themselves too quickly that gave themselves problems. Corsets actually rearrange the organs to more comfortable positions and cause no problems in a normal waist trainer.
