Call of Duty 4 was the best because it was a new type of game! It dropped the Medal of Honor feel and made it the most popular online FPS there was. Call of Duty 4 basically made CoD what it is today. Shame all those little brats on Xbox never got to experience the awesomeness of Call of Duty 4.

@CaliAssassin1, get this game when the PSN is up, I bought this game in 2009 on ebay for 12 bucks and still play online sometimes but not when PSN is down of course. The only killstreaks I approve on is COD4 and W@W but the dogs in W@W are annoying sometimes. My favorite weapon when ur the Axis is the Kar98k and Allies the B.A.R. I wish the COD's today played like 3 but with better graphics and of course their is still online problems.

CoD 1 2 and 3 were just another ww2 game when they came out... modern warfare was what sent the CoD franchise off the map and since then modern warfare 2 and black ops have been the biggest selling games ever
