  • What was that? A mustang taking a corner while accelerating! Omg hell must have froze over. Hate that arguement!

  • im goin to be trading my 04 v6 in for the new laguna package 302 boss ill have some vids up soon

  • good looking rides.

  • Great video. I love the new 5.0 and out of the box it's got a leg up on the older 3v but with mods and boost? the 3v is still a contender.

  • Nice! I like the "filmed in Mexico" at the end. Hilarious!

  • sick stangs, the 07 sounds and is nasty :)

  • If you guys want to go fast, why are you spend $30,000+ on cars that cost another couple grand to mod? You can get a solid fox for $3,000 on CL and put the ON3 turbo kit on it for $1,500 (ebay) plus another $500 for the supporting stuff and have a car fast enough to blow the doors off the blue '07 for a total of 5 grand... That way you won't look stupid when the 800 dollar car next to you keeps up with your 40 grand. Old 5.0L (stock) + ON3 kit on 10 lbs made 499 at the tires on pump gas.

  • @gtdrummerdude You forgot the mention the weight difference. Especially the old coupe police models.

  • @asleeperj Well yea that's part of the advantage. They certainly don't have as much hp in STOCK form as the newer stuff, but bolting on a turbo kit is much easier on the older cars. And yes, they are lighter.

  • @gtdrummerdude That sounds like a blown motor within a year... 10lbs has always been the stretching mark for mustangs.... also not everyone likes the looks of the Fox... I prefer my sn95... over the 05-09s... Also, you'll need suspension mods... minor mods you'd be okay but the turbo will warp the body .....

  • @Texarmageddon Nah I did wheelies on 100% stock fox body and suspension, no subframes. Floor is straight, torque boxes are solid.

  • @gtdrummerdude Maybe I want a FUN, reliable, good looking and handling car with everything working (windows, weather striping, good stereo, no previous owners, no rust, no squeaks or rattles, no paint or body work needed and ect). and be able to drive across the country. Fox's are not ideal to me being a daily driver. To small and old. Most are falling apart and constantly need fixing. Dont get me wrong, I totally get what you are saying, especially for a project car that wont be driven daily.

  • @Spike10101 I just bought a '92 convertible for $2,600 that runs and drives perfectly, suspension and brakes are VERY tight, no rattles or squeeks, quiet and reliable, quick as a stock S197, good steareo, good weatherstripping, power front and rear windows, power top, power seats, power steering, very cold a/c, doesn't need paint or body work and has no rust. And I know it would outhandle a newer mustang, it doesn't have a lick of body roll and it weighs 3260 lbs.

  • @gtdrummerdude Congrats on the steal, sounds nice! I personally don't like the way fox's ride/handle/brake/feel. They have no turning radius either. I have owned two. the chassis is over 30 years old and it shows. It must not be stock if it can out handle a S197. Have you ever driven a S197? especially a 2011? These car are leaps and bounds better than a fox in nearly every way. I won't even touch the comfort department. My 07 is paid off, runs high 10's, fun and comfortable as hell to drive. :)

  • @gtdrummerdude Dude the Fox bodies look like a shoe box with wheels. The S197's are the way to go for something more modern and reliable. The Push rod 302 with as much boost as you are talking about will hold up how long? After you rebuild that engine to hold that kind of boost you bought yourself a nice S197 with more potential.

  • @TheMarineJRM Most Mustang enthusiasts like foxes. And actually a good fox drives just as nicely as an S197 and should be just as reliable, except when something DOES need repair you can pretty much do it yourself for $40 on a fox. An S197 would be a few hundred at a dealer. Pushrod motors are just as reliable and strong as OHC. And I can buy an aftermarket Dart block, heads, cam, full aftermarket 331 rotating assembly etc for under 5k....

  • s197 for vida! and seriously bro take care of your pony a cracked window? smh!

  • Sweet '07.

  • 0:25 are those camaro ss wheels on a mustang? smh

  • @Antraxx247 Def not, Sport edition KV5's from tirerack which have been on my car since 08 (years before the camaro returned).

  • mexico suuuuuure looks like virginia...lol

  • @domisman haha. exactly what i was about to say, and then the big sign "indian river rd". lol

  • I feel like could have taken that 5.0 in my stage II WRX... something wasn't right about that.

  • I love the color of that 07!

  • I wouldn't Mod a New Mustang not the 5.0 its a fuggin classic

  • @BuiltFordTough2011 thats kind of in the situation im in :( i love my 2011 5.0 and i want it to be faster but.... its a 5.0 its a classic... idk what to do

  • @BuiltFordTough2011 that 5.0 will be here for a good decade or more.... not only that its becoming the standard V8.. just mod it... the 4.6 are the classics.. our engines aren't made anymore and will probably not be picked up in anything major

  • viva la mexico for letting Americans play with toys they cant afford

  • would have been great to say the 07 stang est HP

  • @360mmspider Good point, 505rwhp 450rwtq

  • Like you said, just a fun video to set a bench mark for the mods. I would like to know more about the 2011, seemed like he was in the wrong gear or something when you guys took off. I look forward to seeing more videos, keep them coming!

  • @TheGorman83 he was in the right gear. My car just has over 125 more hp than the stock 5.0 at the time.

  • lol filmed in mexico hahaha

  • Don't get me wrong, I love mustangs! So in no way do I mean to sound rude. But that novi is a centrifugal supercharger. Meaning the power doesn't really kick in until higher RPMs. Which brings me to my question, why did you start with a 60 mph roll? Start from a dig, and the results would be in the 5.0's favor! Yeah, the '07 would eventually catch up, but it would be much more fun to see how much of a lead the '11 can put down before the novi really kicks in!!!

  • @JJPelly01 my car does fine down low. we have raced from a dig many times. I actually pull even harder. That was the only video we actually got that day. I have 4.10's. I got about 4-5Lbs of boost at 3k and it climbs rapidly from there up to about 12 @ 6500. I launch at about 2500-3000 and get right into my power band and remain there through all the gears. Like i said this was a completely pointless. Just fun!

  • @Spike10101

Both mustangs are awesome! On your '07... What is the name and the size of your wheels and tires? I didn't see if you already mentioned it in the comments or not? They look like Mille Miglia's but I'm probably wrong? My guess is they are 19x9's? Anyway, the other thing I was interested in knowing is are these wheels any heavier or lighter than the stockers? Sorry about the questions, but I really like your car man. Thanks

  • @Spike10101 only 12? my miata pushs 22 with a triple corkskrew

  • @JJPelly01 You couldn't be more wrong, I have a centri on my 2v and its simply not the way you are describing it. Yes, the boost builds linear, but 1st gear is aggressive enough that your instantly in the powerband anyway.

Theres a vid of this on my channel called something like "2000 Gt on the street" which shows how the car is from a stop and low roll. Its a pretty common misconception, which is why I made the vid.

  • @JJPelly01 its a mustang not a civic. he doesn't have to rely on boost alone. hondas you have to rev to 7k just to get your boost, but with the beautiful v8, the motor is strong enough to get that s/c going when it needs to.

  • Awesome man! How wide are the rims and tires you're running on that 07? I have an 06 and I'm already having traction issues with 255s and all I have are bolt ons and a tune. I'm thinking once I get gears (nevermind forced induction) I'm not going to be able to grip through the first two and a half gears.

  • @clb5555 rear tires are Hankook Ventus v12 evo 285/35/19 on 9.5" wide rims. They hook well. Got hoosier slicks for the track tho.

  • @Spike10101 Those are 285's in the rear? Hey I have the same exact model, same color to, I'm going turbo- hpperformance. What you think?

  • lol Mexico = I64 Virginia Beach..... Thanks for the vid makes waiting for my 2012 order even more unbearable

  • nice rims on the 07

  • all filmed in Mexico lol i didnt mexico had a Indian River Rd

  • I hope that cast iron block can handle all that power. Did he change the fuel lines, heads etc ... ? Either way they both look and run AWESOME !!

  • LOVE the 5.0. So powerful stock and looks so good. My 2011 GT 6spd manual dyno'd at 381rwhp totally stock.

  • nice setup on tha 3v. novi 2200 is a beast! cant wait to get mine

  • where did you get your rims i want them on my s197!

  • Even though the 11' can get the the same numbers as your 07'....i still like the 2007 over the new 11'...

  • nice cars! i know the new 5.0 is out and all the rage but i still love the 05-09s! i would love to buy a 05-09 v6 stang body and put the new 5.0 in it with a whipple blower and all bolt ons with a lowered stance and sum 15x3 and 15x10 weld draglite wheels being turned by a set of 4.30 gears! ahh my own cobra jet.. i will build that sumday.lol

  • @BLACKLACDTS have fun.... even for a gt thats gonna be a hard swap

  • @Texarmageddon not rally, the blocks are very simular. in a few months there will be a few of them runnin around.

  • Did the 5.0 have the 3.7's ?

  • yeah right that was norfolk im from there i know indian river when i see it LOL

  • Damn i drove a new 5.0 and it's fast as hell. How much hp is the 07 putting down?

  • @mstrchief43 the 07 puts down 505rwhp/450rwtq

  • LMAO....love how you put the camera man in the stock 2011 GT

  • @kbreese72 lol, yeah my wife was filming from his car. I wanted to hear my car on video.

  • @Spike10101

Selfish bastard, if I was him I woulda ran off with your wife ;)

  • @Spike10101 sick 07 mate, time for some bigger brakes to fill out your rim space though innit? svt brembo package should do the trick lol

  • @ADD8oi agreed!

  • looks like someone lives in florida

  • 07 blown mustang? whos the lucky girl?

  • I saw a dude with a sombrero

  • All filmed in Mexico with an exit pointing to Indian River road? Watch those cops guys. I was just out there and I must have seen over 50 cops in cars and motorcycles in a 4 day span. Never seen so many in one place in such a short time.

  • Damn that's one sick 07, awesome setup

  • All in mexico huh? Looks like virginia!!

  • sick stangs dude i drive a 02 gt if i put a 671 blower on my gt i wonder how hp i would have ?

  • @lefty6758 I'd stick with a turbo or a centrifugal blower, not a carbed-type roots blower.

  • I just put a 3in X pipe on and a tune from SCT... the car fly's dude!!

    hit me up

  • I hope the 5.0s can be as loud as that 07! Sweet 'stangs!

  • Mexico looks a lot like Virginia Beach-lol

  • @06gtdriver

that's definitely Va. Beach...surprisingly other than my 2011 5.0 I've only seen a white RTR version in the area...all us new 5.0's need to meet up

  • See you friend has a Escort, I have one. Nice cars, are they auto or stick?

  • @oiTzBiGJo Escort? I am not sure if you are referring to me or not but both the stangs are sticks.

  • @Spike10101 Escorts a radar detector.

  • @oiTzBiGJo Haha, good point. I did not think of that. But yeah he has one...lol

  • awesome vid bro...... nice 2007.... love the sound of that 5.0 OMG

  • @scorpiojudo

Thanks! Yeah I can't wait till my buddy gets some mods on that 5.0. I've seen them things put down 420+ with just CAI, exhaust and GOOD tuning! Very impressive engines.
