How is this to dark? Her neck is still darker than face. You guys are probably the ones who walk around with foundation three times lighter than the rest of your body. Making it obvious that you are wearing make up. Besides who are we tell what shade people are to wear. Especially when it hard to tell what shade she or anyone behind the camera is. How anyone looks on camera and how they look in person is totally different. Not every body on you tube has a hd camera.

I'm usually a nc50 but i found the nc50 in this formula to be too dark. i tried it today and it looked like i had mud on my face.

@rania3830 I have this foundation. The reason the nc50 was too dark for you is because the studio sculpt nc50 is really nc55 and the nc55 is the nc50. There was a mix up at the factory. I researched it before I got it and I also asked my Mac artist and they confirmed that there was indeed a mix up. So what she was using in this video was really an nc55 packaged in the nc50 tube. So get the nc55 (nc50). I see alot of people ask this so hope this helped =)

@christal718 under-eye's area should be concealed with Liquid concealer (only) as it wouldn't leave marks afterwords or feel heavy . your young pretty skin don't need much .

just on the back of your hand : mix a nice light good brand moisturize cream with little foundation (make sure both are water or oil base )and buff it in your skin , last with a pad or sponge set foundation with veeeeeeeeery little powder . add baby blush ,Vaseline >>> other way buff cream >concealer spots only> powder.

@1942evelyn - its easy to start with a foundation concealer eyeliner and mascara those things make a huge difference and allows you to have an easy fresh face look.. then work your way up from neutral colors to all those bright blues and so on

Just to let you know, i am a makeup artist, and have worked for MAC, you may be a differnt shade in the differnt foundations, the best thing to do is always ask for a sample and try it out before you buy the product... Ciao

I was told by the lady at the MAC counter to get a concealer the same shade as my skin and to be honest, going lighter on concealer has never worked for me. So do what works best for you.

I agree with jav324, and I've the same problem as you. I'm NC 44-45 in studio fix and just been matched in NC 50 in studio sculpt. but it's a bit to dark (and turn orangey) and my colleagues told me that I am better without this foundation. I've not bought yet but I'll insist to get the NC 45. Otherwise, this foundation is very fine for normal to dry skin (with a bit oily in noise and chin) but still hesitating with the select one (matched in NC 45!). Go and test the NC 45. salut (bye in French)

Hi, First of all i think you look a lot better without Foundation, Also, as MUA. i dont understand the fact that you conceled your eyes with a lighter colour but then put a darker foundation over your face,, Surely if you are placing a darker colour foundation over your face it will conceal those areas anyway where you have for example blemishes etc,,..

To me it look liked you went over the areas under your eyes with the darker foundation??

@jav324 hey.. this is how I like to do my makeup, I dont follow any makeup rules on how things should be done, at the end of the day I do it this way because I dont want to have raccoon eyes..also I dont apply my foundation directly under my eyes blend up to my eyes.

Btw, where do you work? because it seems like you dont understand the art of highlight and conturing. I think her foundation application was flawless and works perfectly with her face. ;)

I dont understand y you used a darker color, think u said NC 50...I was told that you should go at least a shade or two lighter because after an hour or so after applying your make up oxidation takes place and that makes the make turn a shade darker ...IDK I'm just say, well with me it has happened. @MissC4eva oxidation shouldnt occur with a good foundation, but it mostly happens with a powder foundation. Also, a lot of peoples faces are muh lighter than the rest of their bdies, so by going darker, it matches it. She also mentioned she gets tanner in summer so its good to go darker. And no one, especially african americans, have just one color tone in their face, we all have diff variations. she compensated by using the lighter concealer in the eares where her face is lighter.
