  • Your wig looks fine. I don't why so many people are insulting you!

Thanks for the video. I plan to buy a glueless lace wig soon.

  • ur wig is nappy and ur parting looks fake.

  • @watsnot2adore21 Sweetie Im natural....so that silky straight "nappy" wig is actually far from nappy (which isnt a bad thing. Im nappy and PROUD). And if the parting looks fake . DONT DO IT! Im just giving an alternative method to use instead of glue or tape.

  • @watsnot2adore21 jealousy isnt cute

  • I like it, it's cute on you. Thanks for the tips.

  • Hi, I tried this method, but sadly, it didn't work for me. Good vid tho.

  • Thanks for the video, I just started wearing lace wig and my edges were glued so I am glad for this method. God bless you.

  • how do you sew the clips on is the comb part below or above?

  • this looks like a bad weave. :/

  • dsnt look natural!

  • thats ugly, I dont know how much you paid for that wig, but you could have gotten a full cap wig for 20 dollars and done the same thing..

  • Thanks for this, it was exactly what I wanted to know :o)

  • Great video give me a idea for skool but I'm sreacd because I'm is really long n yea but where do u get the wigclips from??

  • Hi,

can you tell me where you buy your wig clips from? Or which place sells the best and flatest wig clips.

  • Great video. Where did you purchase your wig clips and what size did you get please? Thanks.

  • This is excellent. I have virgin hair and I always want to try these new styles and hair colors. I never wanted a wig because of having to use glue and things like this. But this looks like a MUCH better way to be able to do that. Can you tell me what are wig clips? How do I get them? How do you sew this in? Thanx

  • good job

  • where did you get the clips and the hair?

  • awfull application u cant wear your hair up when u have wig clips does not have a natural look at all

  • Do the clips attach themselves to your wig cap or to your actual hair?

What if you have very little real hair?

  • can you tell me where i can buy these wigs and how much.

  • are able to wear your hair back from your face and up in a ponytail??? and it look natural with the wig clips?

  • You are a genius! What a great way to take good care of your hair and still look great. I like yaky hair too, how can I find it online or in stores in California?

  • is it secure enough to exercise in?

  • Thanks so much for this video. Great idea to use clips! I didn't like the glue much so now there's a good solution. I might try it now. :)

  • i seen sythetic ones with baby hairs and dat look better this look like a regular wig it is bulky and big looking but this is a good video

  • Great video thanks! It's good that the wigs have baby hairs to make the edges look less fake. I may try this as I used to use clips on my tracks instead of bonding glue. Same method so hopefully I can do it - thanks for your help!

  • its looks so nice, whats the retail price?

  • Ingenious, I'm feeling your technique, saves a lot of heartache from choppy edges later. NICE!!

  • what kind of thread did you use to sew in the wig clips.

  • wearing lace wigs for bout a yr now using the glue isnt an option for me any more purchased some wig clips myself so thx for the tip on appling

  • Execellent, luv the invention and will start wearing mine like that. Quick question, do you wear your hair in a ponytail with the hair clips? Does it work, or can you only style it in the front. THANKS

  • How do you attach the clips to the unit?

  • omg thank you so much!! im about to get this for my mom. she wants a full lace so bad but doesnt want the comitment of glue. i didnt even know you could use clips with this kind of hair piece! thanks again!! loved your video!!

  • ur wig looks sooooooooooooo bulky

  • @Yakiiroll It's bulky like that because of the way she braided the hair, it is best to have the braids as flat as you can get them.

  • Great video, I just got my first front lace, and was hesitant about using the glue tapes. I am taking a break from the salon right now, but still want to be looking 'divalicious"! Thank you for the tips. I wil get the combs and stocking caps this week.

  • Thank u for the video. I will be getting my unit soon and I didnt know if I wanted to use glue or not. now I know. Thanks again.

  • Thanks for this. I rock free form locs and love them, but in the winter I sometimes want to wear protective styles. I use head wraps for that mostly, but I was considering lace wigs as an occasional alternative. The whole point of me going natural was to stop damaging my hair (and overall health) with chemicals, so the adhesive options turned me off. I thought combs could work, but I wasn't willing to shell out hundreds without feedback from someone who tried it. So, thanks again!

  • i don't think it looks too straight that texture looks great on you, and it looks like your own hair that is permed...

  • thanks for the idea im going to do it tomorrow.....<3

  • where cn i gt d clipz from, i rily wana try dis.. wat r d clipz called....

  • They look like the extension clips from Sallys.

  • I use this method to works great.... alot better than gluing lace front wig on your scalp

  • Do you remember the seller that you bought it from?

  • I like this way to do it! I was thinking of doing this, but I didn't know how I was going to do it.

  • nice video what is the name of this clips

  • how often do u wash your wig?

  • I wash it every 10-14 days

  • do you have any other lace wig units with clips in it? have you noticed a difference in hair growth since ur not really messing with your own hair?

  • No this is the only wig I have with clips...and yes my hair has grown tremendously from this protective style.

  • do the clips damage you hair line? does the wig have that cone head shape because ur using clips instead of the adhesives? ( and im not tryna be funny or haiting or nothing)...i have the same problem when i wear regular wigs....

  • I know what you mean about that cone shape. For me that has more to do with how my hair is underneath cause if the wig fits right it should be flat. The glue shouldnt be pulling it down to fit.

If youre hair is flat enough under the wig it will be flat with the clips.

  • im lovin this.....i purchased my first lace wig and I did not want to use glue or the tape...this is perfect!

    thanks gurl!

  • Can you show how you attached the wig clips to the lace?

  • can i pull the hair all the way back with out lace showing or would i require some glue?

will my wig fall off, can it be pulled off ? i really want security? do people think it is ur real hair?

  • No you cant pull it all the way back and expose the hairline because it isnt glued down.

It is secure though...would be difficult to just pull off (but not impossible). Yes even with the clips people think its my hair.

  • Hi Special K.

Thanks so much for the advice. I just purchased my first lace wig and I was very excited until I started dealing with the glue and it kept shifting in the front. I was really afraid of messing up my hairline. Today I tried wearing it with just the combs, but I need more combs on the side for better holding. I look forward to installing the clips instead because the combs can become uncomfortable. I love the freedom of taking the wig on and off. Thanks for the tip!!!

  • hey readytomove06....could you show me how your lace turned out with the wig clips?

  • if i went with the clips it would look too much like a wig. but it looks alright on you. doesnt look natural....but you look good so who cares right :)

  • I brought a lace front and I love it! I didn't use any tape of glue with mine either. I use bobby pins, I like the fact of being able to take it off when I want and care for MY hair while wearing this wig. Thanks for showing the wig clips.

  • hey can you make a vid showing how you use it with the pins?......

    puurrtteeee please!??.... ;)

  • With the bobby pins?? Ill try!!

  • Ill do a vid on that soon!!

  • Aww thanks. That is too much money for you to be letting sit in the box! lol Hopefuly now you have some options. Have you tried high qualty synthetics? I have a few and they have straps in the back so I can use bobby pins only if I wanted.

  • SpecialK, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, I have a full lace unit that has been in the box for 2+ months now because I did not want to use glue. When I ordered the wig I got alcohol, glue, glue remover and stocking wig cap. I thought about the wig clips a while ago but just didn't know how to sew them in but thanks to you I might be able to wear it finally.

You are such a pretty lady and also brilliant.

I will sub and it would be nice if you sub back..

    Thanks again!!!!

  • Great video......excellent, excellent idea....;0)

  • And can you remove the clips if you want to start using glue without damaging the lace?

  • It is a full lace wig. I removed some of the clips and there are little holes there.

  • Is it a full lace or front lace wig? Doesn't it damage the lace to sew the clips on them?

  • I love u just for putting this up!!!!!!! I hate using glue myself . I like the idea that i can take it on and off. I work out alot so when I sweat I find myself reapplying glue everyday, and it was damaging my edges. So thanks for the info and keep the ideas coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • same here!

except I have such a low hairline and they had to shave my hairline and that was messed up!

  • that is what i am afraid of because i don't have a high hairline and i was afraid my edges would be gone also using the glue on a regular

  • I feel you on that one...because me hair is low thick and full too...and I'm not willing to shave it or nothing to wear a lace unit..but if i would try to glue it lower then my hair line i'll end up looki like CHEWBACCA!!!

  • i love the look on u when u pined up the hair

  • Thanks for this!

I am a guy and I was forced to buy a lace front simply because I am a Theater major and I am ALWAYS having to change hairstyles for different roles/parts.

The lace front wigs are great but are SUCH A PAIN to apply with the messy glue and removing them is a nightmare. This video just saved me a TON of time and tears. Inventive and simple!

    Kudos!

  • I LOVE U! growing my natural hair too! I can't sew and I hate glue, this is perfect!

  • what colour is that honey?

  • I loved you idea of the wig clips. I brought a full lace wig for $400 in Macon, Georgia.and the glue was irritating my skin. I ended up sewing in 9 small wig clips. This the best idea ever. I was sending a lot of money on by the remy hair per pack he it cost $ 70 a pack. Thanks so much for the idea.

  • my hair grows like tht 2!!

    r the synthetic wigs realistic??

anyone can reply but i need 2 find out real soon

im getting my 1st lace!! yay!

  • I have two synthetic ones and it looks very natural. Just like human hair

  • ive been using the clips with my lace but ive notice my edges with the clips are thinning have you experience this

  • does anybody know where to get a lace wig thats under $50?

  • Comment removed

  • I would like to know that too, cus they are normally so expensive

  • you are so smart!

  • thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like what you have shared so much because even if you don't damage your hair with the glue or tape it still damages your skin. Imagine having your skin covered for days at a time...it is impeding natural skin shedding and sweating. Someone who used tape shared with me that it stinks and left the skin lighter similar to removing a bandaid!

So glueing or taping will always cause some damage to the hair, skin, or both.

What you've developed and shared is priceless!

  • clips run the risk of actual track baldness as well.

  • thanks for posting ive been wondering how to wear a lace wig without adhesive

  • this is a good idea i have not bought one yet but im going to and i was worried about how i would keep the damn thing down in the back well also dont worry about what anyone says because it is a tut and what works for some doesnt work for others you know ? mimi

  • where di you get it

  • oh! at 1st i didn't know you were wearing a wig already! I love wigs but i only wore them for photoshoots and preformances. No matter how many bobby pins i shoved in there, it would slide. I use these clips for decorative costume headpieces but i would have never thought to use it on the wig itself! I feel like such a moron! thank you very much for posting! :)

  • yeah,thankyou!x

  • Also, that looks REALLY wiggy.

  • I agree!!

  • I would actually like to beg everyone to NOT use wig clips. They'lll rip your hair out. And leave you with bald patches. Just get some high quality glue and apply it correctly. You shouldn't be applying it right on your hair any way.

  • Thanks for sharing. But...that does not look good hun.

  • SpecialK 327, thank you for a lovely video We had removed the wig clips from our Ebay store - tho we've been telling folks for quite some X that you can clip your wig in. No one listened until your video came along. Now we have sold several sets of our clips. Again, thank you. Tomme from lacewigsmakingrepairingalteringandbuyingdotcom.

  • And your lace units should last at least a year or more.

  • Your hair looks like a wig. The clip can also take out your hair if you don't remove them right. The adhesives can be very easy to remove if you have the right removal products. Your unit would probably look more real if you used adhesive.

This method is good for culy units. Not so good for straight because if looks wigish.

  • :) going to get mines tomorrow great vid... mine will be synthetic for my first go round.. im excited

  • thanks for the vid. I also was concerned about glue and this is a great solution, good thinking

  • where did you get the lace wig

  • Hi I also have a lace front wig and i have been using the glue and it is driving me crazy. was it hard to put the clips in the wig did u do them your self.

  • I'm very interseted in trying it but I was skeptic about the glue and the tape so thanks alot for the tip!!

  • Your welcome!

  • Where can I get the wig clips? Can I go to sally's and buy some

  • Yes you can...thats where I got mine.

  • Like get2joy said you can find them at Sally but I also found some at the Asian beauty supply store. Any Asian BSS should have them.

  • I dunno but 4 some reason, ur hairline looks a bit unatural.

  • I think thats because its not glued or taped down. I usually wear it with a side part and bang and it covers most of the hairline.

  • dis is a bad video.simply because for 1 the way u got ya hair under the stockin cap makes it look lumpy when u put the lace wig on the top , you suppose to either flatten your hair or braid it down..dont get me wrong it looks nice but its lumpy on da top. it sorta looks like a wig.next time flattin or braid your real hair to avoid that

  • Thanks but the purpose of the video is to show how to put wig clips on...not how flat I can braid my hair down. Just cause I have a lot of thick hair that cant go completely flat doesnt make it a bad video.

  • i guess you cant post website

  • for some reason, i cant list where to buy the clips at. anyone wants to know, email me. i will try to figure out why I cant post it.

  • where can u buy wigs clips

  • testing

  • Amazing! I brought a full lace front and it was too big so I never wore it and I was wondering how I could get my money's worth out of it. i never thought to add hair clips.

    Thx

  • Great idea . I'm trying it tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes.Wonderful idea..

  • Girl that lookz cute on you! But i have a question, I've seen Beyonce' wearing these and Tyra Banks, and they all like blend in with their natural hair, how can i do that? for example on single ladies her hair by her temple looks like her real hair but i don't know if she just glued adhesive and put some of the there too??

  • If you go on Black Hair Media you will find all the answers to all your Lace Front questions!

    HTH

  • Yup thats where I learned all about them!

  • Ebay has these cheap.

  • I just watched your video, and I found it to be a great idea, because I have tried everthing to keep my wig down in the back, liquid, tape, it won't stick. I decided to so some research on the wig clips and your look great. My sister wanted to know does it lay flat on the sides, can you show how it looks if all the hair was pulled back.

  • great job!

  • I'm glad I saw this video because I just got my full lace and had a full lace in the past and the adhesive never adheres to my skin so this is definitly a great alternative...hopefully I can find those clips

  • I'm so happy I stumbled upon this video also. I've been considering getting a full lace wig. I love wigs, half wigs, ponytails, etc. I'm the queen. I was also trying to figure out a way to not use the glue and your idea is wonderful. I can't wait to try it.:-)

  • HOW much did u pay for it??

  • i know about lace wiqs & yours doesnt really look realistic. Maybe u should qet a kinkier texture or a lower density wiq.

  • Did you listen to the video? I said that already...

  • Hey is that a lace front wig or a full lace wig?

  • It's a full lace wig

  • thank you sooo much for this video!!!..i wanted to get a lace wig for my mom ,she is getting older and has some bald spots ,but we were worried about the glue because it may be to difficult for her ,and shes super alergic to EVERYTHING..this is a great alternative that I can do for her ,shes a beautiful women and i feel bad that she hates her hair ..but this gives me some more ideas to get around the glue and tape ..very crafty :)

  • Glad I could help. She could also try synthetic lace fronts that have the straps in the back. I know some people that wear them without adhesives. I hope you're able to find a solution that works for your mom.

  • stupid question.. haha but you know like on tv.. they have these girls that wear wigs and they get into a fight.. you thing it would hurt a whole..lot if they grabbed the wig off their head?... haha now that I see how some people put wigs on.. ohh and I used to have hair extensions but yah haha it hurt when it gets caught on something

  • think***

  • Thanks for the video. I have a human yaki 14 inch unit which I paid a pretty penny for;I've been having trouble with the glue and tape taking out the little edges I do have. I'm going to try the clips. I also purchased a synthetic lace front with is cheaper and have clips in the front and back. They are of great quality and easy to maintain.

  • Ive been eyeing a couple of synthetics. I think they'll be my next purchase since Im not allowing myself to buy another human hair till April

  • beutifull lace wig do you have some short wig

  • Thank you. Right now this is my only lace wig but shorter ones are available.

  • of she does! unless u mean not her

  • What's the ebay addres.

  • Hey Keedah- It's selfstyled from LHCF. Awesome Girl! I love that hump style too. That silky does look good on you though.

  • Thanks! You need to start doing videos with the plastic surgery skills you have!
