It's too bad that Mariah is too perfectionist ! Even in her best period, she thought that she did not sound good enough in her own concert and that she needed to dubb it. And because of that, people think that she lipped while she sang live incredibly outstanding !

Dubbed, lipped or f***ed. I don't care about whatever happened to this performance. Do you really know any other song like this? I'm 26 years old and haven't heard anything akin to this song. In my humble opinion, the song was/has been/is/will be utterly underrated but my favourite song FOREVER and ever.

This was indeed dubbed, not lipped. She performed it live and after that she went back into the studio and re-recorded it and then those vocals were dubbed to the original live performance. Also, "Forever" is the only song from that concert that was recorded at a later stage. Possibly because they wanted to use the footage for the forever musicvideo. You can clearly see in most of the footage, that there was no crowd in front of the stage, except for 2:05 which is footage from the actual show :)

Amazing performance, but unfortunately you can se at least some of it was dubbed/lipped or whatever at 3:40 when the note goes on after she closes her mouth and licks her lip. Still, I adore her.

@magnum70383 this is not lipped, this is dubbed. The audio was recorded in the studio and dubbed to the original LIVE performance. You can usually find undubbed performances on youtube, but this one is harder to find.
