  • Hehe, that looks like so much fun. I wish my parents had enrolled me in Irish dancing when I was young. I'm probably too old to learn now. :(

  • no way! i started when i was like 5 but i know people who started at all ages. i stopped when i was about 13 and im now 16 and considering going back. if ur committed enough you'l pick it up no bother! id definately advise giving it a go! :)

  • I started when I was 10 and was able to make it to Open Championships by year 7. You're never too old :)

  • Hehe, thanks for the encouragement, but I've never heard of anyone starting at 24. :( Besides, the only classes in my area that I know of are the "less strenuous" jigs and reels, I think, no hard shoe dances. The competitive classes seem to be mostly 18 and under. :-/

  • truly like a breath of fresh air, as opposed to all the lewdness and vulgarity we are bombarded with everywhere, innocence and virtue are vanishing qualities,I pray for the kingdom to come everyday, people hunger for love and righteousness,it is good to see ones dancing for joy and the beauty of the sea, Gods creations to behold.

  • It has Wickermanesque qualities. Very good!

  • that was good but thing about the beach you cant hear the noise your feet make and also it looks so so cold that day did anyof you go into the sea brr

  • @freacls really, that is a slip jig. Slip Jig is danced in soft shoes and they don't cause noise anyway....

  • i do irish dancing

  • hah hah(sarcastic) me too

  • me3!!

  • IRISH pride !

    loves it

  • yeah, that's great!!! ;)

  • Irish Dancing is one of the very few forms of dance that is actually competitive on a large scale. Most people do it to compete, not just because it is fun. Many of the girls here are world ranked and part of the nation's top ten. One girl in here is ranked 2nd in the western region. The guy behind the camera has been ranked 1st in the western region, 6th in the United States and 21st in the world. Google the word "feis" and you will find out more.

  • Also, many people in America (myself included) are of Irish decent and have a great pride of their origins. Keep on dancing girls! You're great! ^_^

  • giiirls, giiirls, giirls. From Mötley Crue :)

  • It´s good,.but without the music is totally different

  • just lovely ladies! I enjoyed something different! cheers! canada

  • AMAZING! great job, You should make another video to teach other girls about irish dance. You could teach them how to stand correctaly in order dance and maybe even teach a step or two.

  • I have been considering it, really I have. Maybe this winter.

  • if you do let me know because i know some one who would love it

  • THat was probably so much fun to do. Dancing ont he beach with your friends...while knowing you were doing a HUGE concert with the San Diego Symphony. Awesome and great!!

  • kinda make me want to see the performance. In my head that would be hard to practice without the sound.

  • all that is is hop 1 2 3s nd overs wit fancie hand movements with it..like me and tigress407 could blow you away just the 2 of us.!!

  • Well duh it is simple. It is a show piece. No sane Irish Dancer is going to perform a complicated step routine and risk getting hurt and wasting energy when it needs to be conserved for later numbers. All performance steps are relatively simple, even those in professional shows like Riverdance for that exact reason.

  • cuties

  • Well, what could I say. It is... different.

  • haha this loks like so much fun

  • hi am on my brother's account lol nywayz i do dancing to youze are really good you look really proffesional and your lines are really neat and everythin i wish owar demonstration dances were as good as that lol although you might want to try somewhere better than the beach lol n r u american? coz we brits dont do owar slipjig lyk tht lol xxxxx

  • OMG WICKEDDD CUTE!!!

  • haha love how you girls are talking about idm

... great job anyway, it's really hard to dance on the beach. i spent a lot of time at the jersey shore the past few years & have had to do morning warm-ups on the sand... it works your legs, anyway haha. beautiful ceili (:

  • this is so sweet and beautiful . b dancing in such a naturalal setting brings something back to the ppower of it all.

  • hehe that is is so randomly kool:P

  • That is really cool!! ur dancing is really good. i wish our school would do something fun like that!! mabye i will say something to my teacher!!! : )

  • it would be hard to dance on a beach... maybde i should try that this summer

  • We have to keep these traditions alive in the age of multiCULTuralism.

  • they just cant stop laughing!

  • haha there's irish dancing everywhere.

  • oo love that dance... i've never danced on the beach though! haha i should try that..

  • I love this video. The dancing and laughing, all practices should be like that! Beautiful routine!

  • was that at the nationals?

  • No,it was a performance routine done for the San Diego Symphony over St. Patrick's Day weekend.

  • bellissima coreografia!!! Bello e divertente.

    Grazie

  • bel gruppo di mignotte

  • this is so funny! it sounds like something i would do...irish dance in front of random people on a beach! lol

  • haha, cute!

  • may i ask why your dancing on the beach?

  • A mom thought it would be a good idea and since I was not in the slip jig (big suprise since I'm a guy) I decided to film it.
