As it turned out; the "dark cloud" was predictive of John McCain's electoral results.
Whatever chances McCain may have had to win were trashed when he selected Palin as running mate.
Now, we see the whole of the Republican "Party" gravitating in a downward direction that foolishly embraces the Palin/Limbaugh "wing".
Looks like more dark clouds on the horizon for Republicans....and that's bad for our nation.
America needs a multiparty system that offers voters *reasonable* alternatives.
