Exactly. When I saw EVH playing it live it looked like he was open chords on the intro with that Tremlock Guitar. Their are other ppl on utube that think they got it but are waaaay off! I try to give them your link but unfortunately cant post links in this box, Good job though indeed.
Best instruction ive seen on this yet. I saw EVH playing it live with open chords with his Steinberger ,thanks for showing us with closed chords as we all cannot run out and buy a $1900.00 Steinberger. Great Job!
@jessm60000 Actually if your gonna bar the second chord on that fret its actually is part of the "c" position on 5th fret. Same chord. And good lesson!
@jessm60000 eddie has a steinberger trans trem guitar. it has 5 different tunings. making that full intro easier than it needs to be. capo is a good idea. but eddie uses 3 different tunings in the song. i think the intro is 1 1/2 steps up. versus and chorus is standard. bridge and solo is 1 step down i think
A for effort dude. That tune is a mo fo. Even with a Tremlock.

Yea, I know he was using open chords for the intro ,I hear he uses even a different tuning for the solo, wish I could run out and buy one tomorrow.
Thanks!

@frankenstrat25 He's using neither, standard tuning, just got to be able to handle that 3-6 fret stretch w/index and pinky is all.
