However, it was a great movie to take the kids to, and was a good "father-son" movie, which is rare, considering the amount of "mother-daughter" movies released.. Another reason why Paul Blart is so successful is because it is a reflection of what most Americans really are. They are fat, lazy, and are all too quick to have a pity party for themselves. The main character of the movie embodies all these traits well. Only in this sort of movie, does a person like that become a winner.
