@labhrainn - that's fine yea :) I've never heard it being called a barndance, only hornpipe and reel. What makes it a barndance, what's different? Isn't it just the way you chose to play it?
They are all common time but they are all different dances with their own rythms. So, yes, I suppose it is the way you play them. When I learnt The Wind that Shakes the Barley (reel) I played it a the local session and was told I played it as a polka lol....had to relearn it..
Originally its a set-dance... but if heard lost of very cool variation to it... good to hear yours too.. well done ^_^

Forgive me for quibbling, but it's a barndance not a reel. It's also a good follow -on to The Rights of Man (hornpipe), both work on a low D
