i would never get spec again, i put one in a gti vr6 and it ended up being a defect! had to get it out and send it back to them, im sticking with exedy now, i put one in my roommates celica and its just sporty enough for spirited driving, but soft enough for everyday use

Exedy. It is an OEM supplier to MANY manufacturers, especially in my FD. But since my FD is making significantly more torque than stock, and I like to keep costs low, I like my ACT Extreme Heavy Duty.

@nitroboyn2o give ACT a call. Prices are cheap, great customer service, and will sell you ONLY what you NEED for your car. They sold me a $450 clutch and pressure plate for my FD and its been holding up great after 4 years and over 15k miles worth of track use.

i run a wholesale parts company in australia and sell both EXEDY and XTREME i sell a similar amount of each but find the failure rate on the EXEDY to be a lot higher than the EXTREME

EXEDY is just too heavily promoted and advertise which makes the price higher. SPEC can easily match performance for cheaper.

ACT in my opinion is crap, same with Spec. But that's my experience on their single plate, if I wanted a single full face clutch, I'd go with Clutch Masters. But Twin Plates + Puck clutches, Exedy.
