  • sounds like a race car idling

  • RIVERSIDE in the background!!!

  • Subwoofer porn!!!

  • ever take it off any sweet jumps?

  • @ithinkimtj lmmfao

  • @jrod1125420 haha never gets old

  • like what holds this sub in the box?? i mean im probably an idiot for asking this but i dont see any screw holes around the ring and it looks like it would use a seperate ring or something?? i really dont know

  • @fammguyy202 "the ring" is under the cone you pull that silver ring off and and you fold the cone in. It takes 12 screws to hold it in. Trust me it needs it to I have a ported box double layered with 3/4 inch mdf and the box is warped and leaking air because it cant hold it in. I didnt make the box before someone says something lol

  • Holy amp, Batman! LOL

  • shouldn't be exceeding 54 volts buddy, not at 3 ohms... square wave distortion

  • Either my computer is too slow, I'm trippin, that sub is hovering, or (my guess) you've got yourself the worlds first invisible enclosure. (p.s. its just a bad joke, please don't grill me people.)

  • how do u scew it in ur enclosure

  • @sergiomiramontes91 its a little tricky you have to remove the clamp ring, then the o ring and the screws are under the surround(not glued on)

  • @sergiomiramontes91 carefully

  • @sergiomiramontes91 has outer and inner ring

  • I'm thinking about getting two of these to run my smd 18" . I was wondering have you ever tried running it at .5 ohms?? If I get one i'm going to want to run it at .5ohms till i get the 2nd. amp then i'll strap them and wire my sub to 2ohms. I guess what i wanna know it you think i can run my duel 1ohm smd 18" sub off this amp at .5ohms or will it just go into protect?

  • What frequency?

  • which one of your subs do you like better the jl or the re xxx

  • XXX. I am a proud owner of an RE audio sub (:P) but anyways, it may not be the XXX, but I know RE is some good stuff. It can take ABUSE. With my RE, although I rarely do, especially since I don't have a good amp, yet, I've pushed it HARD on my friends amp, and it is AMAZING. JL audio is more SQ, heck, they use this line of subs in a home theater sub. And I've never seen a JL audio in a bassrace, but I've seen RE. If your looking into SQ, look into JL audio, or even smaller RE's. But definatly RE

  • Uhhh, lol, no. Actually its 50/50 if not rubber surround more. Rubber surround is better- more stretchy, and ALOT harder to rot.

  • I have that same amp and it is hands down one of the finest amps on the market. I am running mine at 1ohm going to 4 ARC flatline subs in the trunk of a convertible and it is outrageous. By far the best control over your subs, true power, just a beast that will run forever and not need service like so many cheapie amps like Stetsom, etc. Current hog? So what! Give it current and watch your car shake itself to death!!!!

  • how many ohms is that wired down too?

  • sound like a jackhammer and i dont mean the speaker brand jackhammer

  • @firecad2006 probably where the name came from... haha

  • Comment removed

  • almost all subs have foam.

  • thats about 3721 watts. u can calculate it using the volts... and if u dont think that amp could produce that much, look it up. it puts out over 4000wrms at 1 ohm... btw kicker all day.

  • Comment removed

  • how did you calculate that without knowing the impedance or frequency?

  • u right. i was going off how i setup my own subs.. his impedance or frequency might be different..

  • i did 54.6 volts on my amp that any good?

  • Hell yeah bro! Keep makeing your vids dude!

  • best case scenario is like 3000 watts.

  • what do you mean?

  • It depends in what impedance you are running. At 1 ohm you would be pushing about 2980 watts but there is always be impedance rise and that is a minimum 1.5 ohm so a maximum 2000 watts. Really depends what your definition of what good is.

  • my voltage was @ 2 ohms so.....?

  • probably about 1200-1500 watts.

  • thanks alot man it's a 500rms amp and i saw this guy soundaudioman with an 500rms amp and he only got lik 44 volt on a TNA amp JL company amp, he's like your lucky? how am i lucky when both amps where tested and they both draw the same volts?

  • 12-1500 watts MAX btw so 6-750 RMS.

  • thanks man i did i vid of it and like i d=said this guy was saying i was lying when i filmed it live please check it out its called volt test 2 on my page thanks again

  • yes its very good , more then 700Wrms

  • on an Alpine amp rated @ 500rms, check out my vid in titled volt meter test 2 may ppl are doubting me

  • yeah sure i will check it , just give me link

  • disregaurd my last statement. that would be if it was running 1.5ohms, but if you wired in parallel at .75ohm, (if amp can handle that load) at this voltage it would be puttin out about 5100w. highly doubt the amp will hold it tho. and at 3ohms in series its 1200, yes youre right. how come they come they call it a 4000w amp if it puts out 1200 at 3ohms? not even a normal load for other subs. most would be 4ohm at like 950 for this amp?? i dont get the rating system

  • A few corrections for you. 1)Impedance is not the same as DCR. 2)With voice coil heating, impedance rise would make it a higher value anyway. 3)This driver has a single 3ohm coil. 4)The 4000 watt rating is derived from its intended usage (1ohm), as is every other amplifier ever designed. 5)Impedance changes with frequency, and box size, and box type. Thanks for watching.

  • my fault, i didnt read the title, i thought it was a 13.5w7.. a 1.5 ohm dvc.

  • ... no harm done.

  • @ruohcc13 its a 3 ohm dvc, 1.5 parallel.

  • if thats plug into the speaker outputs and is measuring ac voltage that amp is only puttin out about 2600w..

  • they only rated at 3k watts max

  • The DMM is showing voltage, so V^2/Re would give somewhere in the neighborhood of 1200 watts, if its 3ohms.

  • Talk about breaking in a sub. Lol.

  • Hertz i think

  • I think more on the lines of Voltage.

  • i was just wondering if you have heard the re audio xxx subs yetmight want them now ha

  • how much current does that amp draw?>?

  • 450 amps at full volume, 50%+ duty cycle, meaning heavy bass music. Thanks for watching.

  • hey ive been looking to buy that amp for some time u think i could run it safly with 2 15 orion hcca

  • It might be too much for those, unless your doing a ported box with a higher than daily tune, or an all out SPL setup.

  • thanks im going with 2 T2500-1bd rockford fozgates so i think ill be safe itll be nice going in a 240sx coupe with a skyline motor yeaa rb25det

  • hey would i be good if i ran the hcca 5000 at 1 ohm in a 6.3 ft box

  • Sounds safe to me.

  • Racing car with a heavy system? hm...

  • are u trying to say put 5000wats @1ohm on a orion hcca? it better be 2 or poof bye sub

  • 450 AMPS?!?!?!?!

    A fosgate T15k (16,000 watts RMS) draws 350 amps.

That is one inneficient amp :P

  • Not so. The T15k is more analogous to a storage device (think Batcap), than an amplifier. The 4000SE runs about 67%, which is just right for an A/B architecture.

  • you could get chicks off with that.

  • What does you meter? Ampere?

  • Volts, with this driver you're seeing roughly 1030watts of input, freeair!

  • SOUNDS LIKE ENGINE

  • results?

  • Xmech is unreal on these. Mechanical noise versus, ID, OZ, Arc, Hertz is much better. Low frequencies are not as audible as everyone thinks they are. Low THD drivers sound different.
