I Have a low 10 sec new edge mustang but i have a 08 g8 gt with an x pipe and ive walked 3 mustang gts with more mods that me.. and it got worse when they hit 3rd.. i know this because mustang gts fall on there face from 3rd on. I win by 5 cars or more everytime in the g8 gt. In this video the g8 should have one considering the mods.
All these Mustang lovers getting mad about a 4 door beating on a 2003 265 HP mustang. Get over it. Mustangs back then were slow. And if you think I am biased to only G8's check out my own vids. @psaddy8 I think its funny how you are comparing a 2003 mustang, with maybe about 260 hp to a 2009 G8 GT with I think 360 hp, and still the mustang did a decent job at keeping up for having 100 hp less. So why dont we flip the table around and you race a 2011 or 2012 mustang 5.0 and see what happens, hell race the 2011 or 2012 mustang v6 and see what happens.

Your comparing a 6.0 liter engine, with just as much power if not more than the Mustang. Also gear ratio, cool air intake, exhausts, "the driver" all come into play. But yes of course the G8 is faster. Look at the specs pfft. :)

LOL. the 4.6 GT was a two valve design that wasn't especially performance worthy, making little use of the OHC design benefits. You could build it, but the returns were small for the investment. The DOHC Mach 1 is a better comparison, even though it is older and only 281 cubic inches. Better yet, since these cars are generations in age, test the G8 vs. the new 5.0 and watch what happens. Instant tragedy... LOL
Yes pontiac has a gxp model for g8 there was only 1800 or so ever made in 09 the last year pontiac made cars! Now about the video 6.0 motor is always going to beat that 4.6 motor top end every time unless the 4.6 gets forced induction!

LOL. the 4.6 GT was a two valve design that wasn't especially performance worthy, making little use of the OHC design benefits. You could build it, but the returns were small for the investment. The DOHC Mach 1 is a better comparison, even though it is older and only 281 cubic inches. Better yet, since these cars are generations in age, test the G8 vs. the new 5.0 and watch what happens. Instant tragedy... LOL
