@OE8CLR The mounting components are from RAM Mounts. They have a huge catalog. This particular piece is one of the Scanner mounts. It's OK for the 92, but you'll need something "behind" it to hold it up - a cup-holder mount, suction mount for a window, etc. Lido also makes good mounts for this.
Great information. Our club in Timmins (Northern Ontario) are about to get a D-Star repeater in the next month or so. As a new ham I needed a push and I think you have done it.
Thank you so much! You helped an aspiring D-Star user very much. I've been licensed for 53 years and have seen a lot of changes. D-Star looks great. Now I have to come up with the money to go buy a new ID-880H and an IC-80AD and then a lot of "trial and error" and I'll be in business! Thanks again.
Thank you for such a good introduction to the different D-Star radios and programing of them. I am going to upgrade my mobile rig and was originally looking at either the 2820 or the FMT-350, I hadn't thought about D-Star. I've since pretty much set on a D-Star and have going back & forth between the 2820 or the 800, well I think your video sold me on the 2820. I can't wait to see the rest of your videos.
Thanks Gary, very useful videos, I have also just bought an ICE2820 & found your demos easier to understand than reading through the manual. Now programmed the radio & had first QSO, 73
Hi Great work... I saw that you ID 92AD wassomewhat held my a type of :ram mount" ou equivalent equipment. Can you tell me what you used and a link to a company if applicable. ITs always a problem to setup a handheld. Ive got a shrot term solution but need something more steady.
Great Video!!
I have one question to the "mounting" of the IC-92D .... Please can you tell me the name of it! I'm searching for something for my car =)

Good info, good narration but.......back lighting with a window behind the radio is really bad.
