Nick Jonas has an omni pod, that he has to refill once, ONCE, every 9 days. You don't compare him to someone who has to prick their fingers 10 times a day.

The Omnipod is a tubeless insulin pump. It does not check his blood sugar or control it. It pumps small doses of insulin in him throughout the day, and he gives himself larger amounts of insulin when he eats carbohydrates or when his blood sugar is too high.
Every three days the pod he is currently wearing expires. He takes it off, fills a brand new pod with insulin and puts it on.
He does have to prick his fingers 6-10 times a day.

Nick honestly turned my life around. I have type 2, and he is such an inspiration. For two months I was completely and totally in despair-no one else in my fam had diabetes. And then I heard him talking...and he has type 1, worse than me...and I realized that it really didn't matter. I was still me. Things happen to everyone, and there are so many worse than me. Just because I have diabetes-not even the worst-doesn't change anything.
Nick is definitely my hero. I know a few people who have Diabetes, and it's awesome to know that poeple are now getting more involved in the cause because of Nick. He and the others I know who have it too, are truely my heroes!♥

I think Nick J is a great role model and an inspiration. I am in a wheelchair w/ cerebral palsy and he is a good person. I love him but to the people that think it's overdone, it really isn't - he's showing people that because he's a diabetic it doesn't slow him down.

I had cancer 2 years ago and that struggle was soo hard, I don't know how many times I wanted to just give up and forget it.
But I beat it and now I'm 3 years cancer free and its gone.

He is a True Hero.
This made me cry, so much.
He has been through so much, and he is still so strong. I can't believe, he is still strong with so much stuff going on. I mean, he's always on tour and then he has to worry about his blood sugar going down.
Man, just imagine how he must feel when that happens.
People say they understand what he's going through, but really only the people that ARE going through the same thing understand.
Nick, I love you.

Nick is a true hero.
I don't have diabetes, and I can't imagine what its like, but
I had cancer 2 years ago and that struggle was soo hard, I don't know how many times I wanted to just give up and forget it.
But I beat it and now I'm 3 years cancer free and its gone.
Nick has to struggle with this everyday, for the rest of his life. He has no option to give up. He is always sooo positive and such a great rolemodel. I love you Nick, and support you forever!!

Your the real hero, all this pretty boy has to do is watch what he eats. You Beat Cancer!! You should be his role model. Plenty of people live normal, or abnormal lives without having to worry about their diabetes. I can't imagine what kind of a strain cancer put on your life.

wow. he's such an inspiration. even though his blood sugar was over 700 he wasn't going to let anything stop him from doing what he loves. no matter what happens to him, he would never let down a fan. he's sooooo talented even with a struggle that big. i love and support him 1000% he's my hero :)

The thing that I admire most about Nick is that he doesn't let diabetes slow him down. He lives with it and it's made him stronger. Not only has he learned to help himself, but he helps others through his experience. He is looked up to by so many kids and has touched so many lives. He uses the many talents God has given him to God's glory. He knows what it means to live life to the fullest. And all this and more, is what makes Nick Jonas a true hero.

Nick is just so amazing for going through this. My grandpa had cancer and it was really tough for him. He didnt manage to pull through but i know that god was there
for him every step of the way and i know he will be there for Nick.Both of them are my biggest heroes in life. I am lucky i dont have to deal with this but i cry every day for those who do. Including nick. my grandpa also had diabetes like nick.My papa taught me one thing.... Never Give up. Im glad my grandpa didnt.

I know I have commented on this video about a million times but... I just love it! Nick really is my hero, he is So strong! And there is more to him than just good looks. I truly love him. And of course Joe and Kevin. They are all indescribable. Their music changed and touched me. I cannot believe how amazing they are and I have no idea what I would do without their music. Nick Jonas you truly are a hero. The fact that you are able to push your diabetes aside and keep doing what you love every day is truly something phenomenal. All three of you boys are amazing, and i don't have a favorite, but the fact that you got diagnosed at the young age you were and you still were able to move on is truly something else. I cannot express how much all three of you Jonas Brothers mean to me. Please keep doing what you do, you are an inspiration. You have touched me.
