I've never bought anything more expensive than the 19.99 blaster boxes, but Bowman is the only Brand I have had any luck with. So I'm thinking about buying a more expensive Bowman Box when they come out in May, probably not a jumbo box though.
Man that sucks you didn't get any of the Million Card Giveaway things. I got a blaster box of both Series 1 and Series 2 last week from WalMart and I got 3 or 4 in each box.
@nusileidimas -- Yeah, I wasn't happy that day, but it doesn't matter so much now. They are trying to charge me an arm and a leg to shipping them to me, so it is better that I don't have anything super good. I know that it doesn't cost $43 to send 78 cards. It only costs me about $3 to send that many to someone in the USA.
@krisbenham — Yeah I've read about the crazy shipping charges and it's one reason I'm contemplating selling all the MCG Cards as one big lot on eBay since I haven't redeemed any of the codes yet.
@DrummingForJesus05 -- If you are Drumming For Jesus, you are more awesome than I am. Attax videos are probably going to be difficult to do many of because those cards don't sell that well.
@20striker20 -- I got the Yankee Stadium Patch for Rivera. They look good with the blue border. I like the patch cards this year way better than the patch cards from last year.
@BaseballCardFreek -- I am guessing that you are referring to the fact that I didn't get a Million Card Giveaway card in this particular box. The odds are supposed to be 1 in every 6 packs, and I got 0 out of 10 packs. I am not a math wiz, but those numbers don't add up. I have gotten 2 in most of the Blasters since then. I am well aware of what I am talking about.
@tomkim17 -- All Topps mainline Blaster Boxes at Wal-Mart and Target are always $19.99. There are others that are more, but not regular Topps blasters.
I returned to collecting this year after sbout 5 yrs... I also bought a Blaster box from walmart. are the black *BACKGROUND* cards just base? and if so, are there normal base with the same players and the same number on the cards?
@VinnyTheVac -- The Wal Mart Exclusive Black Background cards are a parallel set of base cards. All of the numbers and photos are the same as the regular base cards, with the obvious exception of the background of the photo being almost completely blacked out. It is just something that Topps realized was easy to do and wanted to make it exclusive to one chain of stores. The first year that they tried this, Wal Mart lost sales because the whole blaster box was of these exclusive cards and...
@VinnyTheVac -- ....people didn't want them that much. I was quite happy the first time I realized this, but it got increasingly annoying knowing that I couldn't get cards from Wal Mart if I needed some of the regular cards. The same process was done for Target, only with the Throwback Topps logo on the cards, and they were made on the older style card stock. Now, both are limited to 2 packs per blaster so people can still get some cards they actually want when they spend $20.
I you go to my website (link on Youtube profile) and type "wainwright" in the search box, you will see all of adam's cards that I have for sale. They are very affordable and only $1.49 for shipping.
If you get a Hobby Box and it doesn't seem to be very good, try the jumbo. It is alot more money, but if you watch the video that I did for a Jumbo box, you can see that it was a decent box for me. I actually got 2 GU jersey cards and an auto, just like the box states. Hobby boxes only have one and it could be either GU or auto. Those good cards are ending on Ebay right now.
