I lost my dad Oct the 4th to Lung cancer he suffered for years but worked to take care of my mom but on Oct the 4th my dads dr's called and said to hurry because they just had to turn up his oxgen up to 15 letters so we all made the dission to let hospice come in and make him as comfy as possible because he was scared & sufficating due to the cancer . We all sat there with him while he was taking the biggest deep breaths i have ever seen until he took no more and was at peace . I MISS YOU DAD
I'm 13 almost 14 bit I lost my dad almost three weeks due to complications after a heart transplant. I was with my mom to go see him when the told us that he wasn't gonna wake up and that he is done. I had a dream that he was all happy and excited in because he got his new heart. Only a dream though. RIP to all those lost father!

Man, i´m 19 and my father is with cancer. He had cancer on his legs, then on his neck, and hi survived. No hes with cancer on the bladder and idk, i feel really strange, because i know he will not live for more time, but i dont know what to do. This is the only way I can talk, and the only think i think is that maybe in some months my father will die, I DONT WANT THAT!, but i will be very sad because i couldnt do anything!. I was feeling exactly the same way you are feeling right now, I didn't know what to do, what to say, how to say it. All I can tell you is.. Just do it. Talk to him. Tell him how you feel. Spend time with him. Do what you both enjoy the most. Just talk. Just stand there, being with each other. Cause.. after he'll pass away, this'll be too late. Don't regret like I do now...

I just lost my father and i had just reconciled with him after 17 years..it is hard for me to go back to normal life..i have my faith but it is super hard because im thinkin of all the what ifs...we had so many plans for him not to be alone but his body just gave up :(

I want to say that anyone who know's the pain, I'm so,so sorry. My dad died last year, after a long fight with ALS. I just wish I could see him again. Oh... my heart flipped when it saw the poppy flowers... I called my father Poppy, this is such a difficult time in my life and it seems no one knows what it's like. It was definantly difficult, I kept getting yelled at for 'non compliance' or somthing like that, but I refused to do anything, but go from class to class. It's just like that whole day, I was living out everymoment of my life with him, then in 5th period was when I fully realized that my dad, is dead, gone, no more. What do you do about that?

Its amazing how losing one person could be so devestating, it makes me ponder the thought of never getting close to someone inorder to never see those bonds fail. I guess its better to have loved than lost

i thought i was coping when my dad passed away a month after my 16th birthday... im 20 this year and the visions of my fathers death are still vivid in my mind today and i always awake crying at night.....

The only person that ever cared for me in my life was my dad. I lost him on the 5th on January in 2005. I was in the military, and he said he'd wait for me to complete my service.... My father died when i was 10 years old and the last time i have ever seen him was when i was 5. now imm 15 and still it feels like he died yesterday. i will never forget that man for as long as i live. Today whenever i see a little girl outside somewhere holding hands with her dad i just start crying the pain is something that cant even be described. I miss you Papa.

Everyone that has lost a father at a young age knows there's a hole in your life you can never fill, it can hurt more than anything in the world. I want to say that anyone who know's the pain, I'm so,so sorry. My dad died last year, after a long fight with ALS. I just wish I could see him again. Everybody should know that your not alone, and anyone that understands their not alone just click like to show you care.

Oh... my heart flipped when it saw the poppy flowers... I called my father Poppy, this is such a difficult time in my life and it seems no one knows what it's like. But when people reach out and do these things for some of us unfortunate people, I feel happy for a few short moments. (3yrs on mar.14)Tomorrow is his birthday.

It was definantly difficult, I kept getting yelled at for 'non compliance' or somthing like that, but I refused to do anything, but go from class to class. It's just like that whole day, I was living out everymoment of my life with him, then in 5th period was when I fully realized that my dad, is dead, gone, no more. What do you do about that?

I lost my dad when I was 7 months - I don't know if I can say I was lucky that I was that small 'cause I don't remember him. But everyday I wonder how it would be to hear his voice.. and I wonder why I was not allowed to grow up, playing with my dad, like all my friends did. i thought i was coping when my dad passed away a month after my 16th birthday... im 20 this year and the visions of my fathers death are still vivid in my mind today and i always awake crying at night.....
if this is the way im feeling, i would hate to think what others are going through who has recently lost a loved one......

damn,, both MY parents Died in a car Crash when I was 15,, and i never got over it,, its insanly hard to get over a death of a parent imagin them both dying same day ,, this song brought me to tears,,,,, my parents was not able to see me grow, they was not able to be there physicaly for my Graduation,, and not even for my Wedding that i may have!!!! 4 years later, and its still hard!!, I love u MOM & DAD!!!!!!

in a way i get what your going through it may have not been my father who passed but i feel as though i had lost him too. my mother passed away in 2006 leaving behind me and my three brothers i was just 13 at the time, she had been ill my whole life untill she finally lost her batle with breast cancer but i know she's in a better place right now.. I give my deepest condolences to you and your family, and i loved how you honored his memory.

The only person that ever cared for me in my life was my dad. I lost him on the 5th on January in 2005. I was in the military, and he said he'd wait for me to complete my service.... I completed it, and 2 days later, he left... He smiled, held me hands and left my world... Just wanna say to him, "I loved you with every single heartbeat dad... and still do..."
