  • Very nice

  • ''The Anzacs left Gallipoli without hatred in their hearth for their enemy or bittterness at the incompetence of their own high command.'' A.K Macdouggall, Australian historian.

  • ''Turks have treated our captured men and officers excellently.'' The diary of Au Official corres C.E.W Bean

They( Turks) were fighting for their country. Good and fair fighters. No. They fought very fair honestly like us. Both sides lost their valuabel men. [ E.W Barlett was born in Aus 1891.11 light horse regiment. One hundred years old. He was one of last two hundred who left the Dardanelle]

  • Through the history Britain enslaved blacks, Australians, native Americans and many more. When I talk with Australians visit Turkey they tell me they dont understand what the heck they were doing on Gallipoli. Britain cheated, manipulated and forced to fight against Turks. They have been in a fight which they were never believed in.

  • @Scimitar89 All of Europe? you mean France and Britain. Weve forgotton the Ottomons already. Besides you had plenty of weapons and Germans giving you training.

  • As a Turk we had no reason to fight...God bless your ancestors and our ancestors..and shame on you England....

  • @molodoychelovek Ahem you fought because Germany paid you 5 million pounds to be her ally. the British (england is polically irrelivent as she has been for 400 odd years) The reason we are fighting is because YOU chose to be our enemies military ally. You could have been ors for 4 million, or neutral for nothing. Britain was an empire, in declaring your self our enemy you declared our empire your enemy aswell. No shame. Your fault.

  • @Tiwaz81 Sorry if that seemed a little agressive. peace.

  • @molodoychelovek Agreed.

  • how can you find the desert in the gallipoli where is coast of marmara and have a most of forest :D thats funny

  • @OnlyGokhan That desert is when they were in australia..

  • @demeter506 I didn't watched this film but I always see desert all of this film's trailers..

  • They're now lying in a peacefull country!

  • Lest We Forget

  • continue? I am from New Zealand, I am not sure Turkey and New Zealand could ever do proper justice to the scars that were bestowed upon both nations in the great war. So many lives were lost by people who were selfless and followed orders on both sides. Gallipoli is a monument to human sacrifice in world war one.

  • and on top of that i dont agree with @streetwheelz. i assume his a turk and just wants to suck up. i dont c the need? im a turk i talk the truth. the australians were not even trained soldiers. they were farmers and skilled workers not soldiers.

  • @yengec86 You misunderstand our commemoration. We commemorate the dead for their individual and communical courage, bravery and achievement. Australia and New Zealand gained much out of this campaign emotionally and spiritually as a people. We honour them for the attitude that they brought home and for their struggle in adversity. Much like your ancestors being farmers forced by their leaders into war. The cause was unavoidable for the common man and we care no longer for the cause.

  • if you mourn for your dead, one can only ask what you was doing there in the first place. all the brits australians canadians and so on... that died well deserved it. it was your leaders that made the decision to sacrifice ur forefathers and in an even more shamefu act they wanted to share my homeland amongst them. what they didnt know was this was the land of heores. every turkish kurdish man alike will not give away our motherland. :) well deserved to all those dead

  • @yengec86 2721 new zealanders are buried there, there were no candaians at gallipoli. It was british troops and anzac troops of nz and aussie. They all deserved to die?? All those troops didn't know where they were going, they were told to do a job which many, as well as turks lost their lives doing. Unlike world war 2, world war 1 didn't need to happen, but both britain and germany wanted war. Blame them not my countrymen of New zealand that were brought into this war.

  • @pramboy09 Turks were defending their county..Although i feel very sad for all the anzacs and new zelanders who died there as a Turkish woman i just cannot stop asking what they thought they were doing in other part invasive power.. Its sad that people were used that way and died for nothing really..probabaly they believed they were doing something good just like the armies figthing in Iraq an afganisthan now.. We don't know what we will say about that in fifty years from now on..

  • @demeter506 i will tell you why we were there, new zealand in 1915 was a dominion of England. Any war the british were in we had to follow. Turkey had allied themselves with germany, hence why the british invaded Gallipoli. We lost thousands of our people but we lost many more than that in the battlefields of the Somme and at passiondale.

  • @pramboy09 It's sad that you had to do that..The world war one was something about power and grabbing what you can get as i see all the wars the same way but when it turned the invasion of the whole anatolia and not leaving any place for the people who have been living there of course Turks had to say no..We don't see our war in world war one as something agreeable but we see the part afterwards as a fight for independence and freedom which was the case in gallipoli.

  • @demeter506 I still feel sad for these two young guys anyway..I was only 20 when i watched and it was a new point of view for me. It emant we didn"t kill some bad guys we killed humans; humans who are young, innocent and who believed in what they did as much as we did. the war is stupid..I wished the end to be different for them for years and i still cannot stand seeing the end of this movie..I will still cry..

  • @demeter506 I was reading the other day why turkey allied themselves with germany. Turkey had 2 batteships built by britain that was to be called Reshadieh and SultanOsman 1, the turks had a crew aboard both ships to take them home. But WW1 had just been declared and the british navy saw need for the ships so the turk crew were forceably removed from the battleships and were then known as HMS Erin and HMS Agincourt, 2 months later Turkey allied her self with germany and the rest is history.

  • @pramboy09 it cannot be that simple..Ottoman allied with germany and the young Turkish republic refused its connection with that history anyway as it was built after fighting against ottoman-the old rejim as well. see that young republic didn't join the world war 2 and managed to kept herself out of it..

  • @demeter506 your right but i think it was the last straw for the turks.

  • @pramboy09 No. France wanted to attack the ottomons immediately but Britain refused. Britain offered Turkey £4million pounds to join the allies, but Germany offered her £5million. she sold herself tp the highest bidder.

  • @pramboy09 Britain wanted war, as did Germany, but so did France, Russia and Austria. When it happened Australians and Kiwis were VERY enthusiastic about it. Though the innocent working folk of all nations can hardly be blamed, more Europe aging elite.

  • @yengec86 You could have avoided it by staying out of the war. But you chose to be Germanys ally (for a bribe), and as soon as you had defended "your lands" some of which you stole of Greeks (constantinople) you launched invasions of Palastine and the Middle East.. not your lands. Your forefathers got slaughtered there, shame on your leaders who sacrificed you ancestors for money.

  • @Tiwaz81 before even saying you could have avoided it. i guess u forgot about Turkey's geological significance. instead of stating your leaders etc. lets talk facts. Turkey was under pressure from both sides.so they had to pick one side or the other there was no avoiding there. it has also been revealed that Turkey was looking more in favor of Britains side rather than the Germans however they did not have support. because britain had other intentions. control of gallilopli thus superior at sea

  • @Tiwaz81 And by the way it is your leaders that best know how to sacrifice for money. we see this in the modern times. it is still what churchill had dictated. your soldiers are slaughtered in a place where they should have no business. even tony blair has stated he regrets it now :) and more on sacrificing for money poor australian farmers who were paid for the gallipoli expedition. everyone also knows england is the country that exploits other countries. shame on your leaders actually.

  • Australlia had great warriors Iam turkish and welcome any australlian to my home as we are brothers...

  • @STREETWHEELZ what about the new zealanders?

  • I always said people that love war are the ones that never been in a good one.

  • for all u saying turkey "won" at galipoli, i ask against whom did they win? australian soldiers were landed on the wrong beach by british commanders who were happy to let my countrymen grind themselves into the sand and made to storm highly forified cliffs. there are no winners in war. only governments and the rich they represent profit from it.

  • Comment removed

  • Ok, well lets be honest for abit we all know there are winners and losers in war and the people in the middle are the losses. Governments may profit in this but such is life. P.S you miss spelt "Gallipoli" and "fortified"

  • i also spelt "you" by typing in "u". if your gonna be a grammar teacher do the job right fuck stick. what exactly is your argument? that im a bad speller like the rest of the people who use the net and swap between shorthand and proper spelling constantly? because i cant quite figure out what your trying to say or figure out its relevance. i hope U feel better about yourself mate. give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done

  • Calm the fuck down you unwanted test tube babie. Don't get mad at me... blame the morning after pill. I do feel better about my self i just put some wanker in his place. "forified" isn't even shorthand its astonshing at how idiotic you bloody down under cunts can be. It's not hard you might want to attempt to read a book.

  • how did you put me in my place? fuck what ever you are your a "losses" as you prefer to spell the word. fuck mate by your free use of the word cunt i reckon your a pom. the only thing we down under on is your mum. tho unwanted test tube babie is a refreshing insult/ 10points to originality to u. u'r still a fuckstick tho. my previous comment stands. learn to spell yourself b4 the grammar lessons thrush lips

  • The Ottoman-Turks did indeed win the Gallipoli campaign. They fought a well organised and admirable defensive action which made the British, French and Anzac positions on the peninsula untenable. The Turks as a result could breath easy as their capital city was protected from massive coastal bombardment-desinged to kiill thousands.

Also you will find that rich men die as easily as poor men.

  • @doomlordkaka Australians in command at the Nek. Britain was busy getting its own men killed at Sulva Bay and Scimitar Hill.

  • @doomlordkaka

    are you dreaming ?

turks win the battle AND the war....

  • @321illusion lolnope

  • So incredibly ignorant 90 years on. Absolute disgrace

  • the soldiers who lost their lives aren't cowards

but of course the men at British High Command were

  • turkey didnt loose... if turkey lost the war, then there was no turkey.. turkey kicked everybody out with after they entered turkey for a month.. so read youre history good western people

  • Turkey lost its empire, and massacred innocents. Won at Gallipoli, but at the same time was getting pushed out of the middle east.

  • @24michiganironbrigad No. Won and Gallipolli then invaded the Middle East. Got whipped and ran out.

  • Turkey lost its country not during the war but after. The Ottoman empire ended after the Gallipoi. There is no taking away that the British bungled the attack and the Turks prooved to be excellent defensive troops.

    selcuk32adana should read his history.

  • youre western history? no thanks... only propaganda bullshit.. anyway.. not one western enemy stayed in turkey after the war.. because they couldnt stay..

  • Its about guys who are sent away because they were told to fight by governments and such. Young guys from all parts of the world suffer like this. Even Turks. I wonder how many Turks wanted to fight. Forget that shit and respect those fallen. All sides have heroes.

  • i seen the movie.the guy wit the red shirt dies!

  • ...why...why...

  • Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives. You are now lying in the soil of a friendly country therefore rest in peace.

There is no difference between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours.

You, the mothers Who sent their sons from far away countries wipe away your tears;your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace after having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well.

    (Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk)

  • @barbaros1passa I will say this. Ataturk was a true soldier. Probably better than anything Germany, Britain, the USA or France had in this war. Also a very noble sentiment that it does him credit.

  • turks are the best in history everywhere 5 country didn#t won the war only one country the turks wins 5 countrs they was french, greece, england, anzacs and australians but they dont won the war 5 countrys didnt can winn
