What I hear so rarely are ideas, which is what these things are supposed to be about. The Democrat machine, which just spent 8 years calling Bush "Hitler" and trashing Sarah Palin just because she was an opponent, thinks a positive sounding candidate makes it all forgotten. Not so.

Not knowing africa is a continent. showing she doesn't know what the job that she is seeking (vp) entails 3 TIMES!!! not having a clear answer or even an answer to questions about most issues that are effecting this country. getting leaders names wrong. jumbling her points until they are incomprehensible. hiding her ignorance behind a condescending tone. she is an embarrassment, & that's me being nice.

those gaffs are similar to mccain's gaffs. they in no way compare to palin's complete lack of understanding of the basics. think about how long it's been since you knew the names of the continents? she can get a pass on the "bush doctrine" question, but can't possibly get one for not knowing what the vp does while vying for the job.

the media can't be blamed for that level of ignorance. i think she was humored often by interviewers letting her get away with all kinds of stupid answers.

What "understanding of the basics" do you have that Palin does't have, other than that she's not a Democrat? Biden couldn't even name the correct article of the Constitution that discusses the VP. So why is he so worthy?
