Such a airplane need a reducted engine that allow a big diameter propeller (1.70m or more): this improve , with the same power, a lot the static trust, improve acceleration and reduce the take off distance, but a reducted VW is very heawy for a Youngster...

Can you give details on your engine? I see it is a Type 4, what is the displacement, and what are the specs of the prop you are running? I want to build a Youngster....
@daalhoffarm not a 356, but a Type 4. Was seen in the Porsche 914, 1976 912, VW 411, 412, Bus/Transporter. 356 is a genuine Porsche engine, not Porsche/VW. Totally different....had 1.7, 1.8, and 2.0 displacement, 69 or 71mm stroke.
