They, they actually CANCELLED this show? I'm speechless. I had JUST learned about it and watched the two aired seasons, before realizing this awesome show was CANCELLED. Oh god where to begin? The show had awesome animation and writing. It firmly established The Green Goblin as Spider-Man's nemesis and portrayed him as a hardcore psychopath, Spider-Man's "The Joker" if you will.
And don't let me start on how well they captured Spidey's sense of humor and all the other characters.

The show had everything there is to love about Spider-Man: his sense of humor, tried and true versions of his enemies, great character portrayal, awesome animation and writing and a pretty funky theme too. It definitely deserves a third season (probably a fourth too) and I highly recommend it to any Spidey fans.

The 1967 series had a good theme song, some-what semi-good action, and bad animation and design. The 1990 series had a bad theme song, good action, and some-what semi-good animation and design. This series has a good theme song, good action and good animation and design. So, in my opinion this is the best out of all 3... But of course, the 1967 theme is the best...

90s Spiderman is better because you had Warmachine, the X-MEN, and The Punisher show up in cameos. That and all the villains from the 90s Spiderman looked way way way cooler like Venom and Carnage.
have to say i never thought id like this show. im a 90s boy and always will be, still love the 90s spiderman and believe its better, however, don't judge this show before you watch it. i recently wached all 26 episodes and loved the show, it's is awesome compared to todays normal cartoon standerds and any spidey fan should watch it. im a little dissappointed they chose to ended it on a cliffhanger and that there won't be another season, it really is awesome, give it a try. 90s spiderman ftw tho!

I met Steve Blum, the voice of the Green Goblin in this show and I mentioned how angry I was that this show got canceled. His response, (must imagine the green goblin voice saying this) "It's all Spider-Man's fault, he knew that he could not take me on anymore so he gave out, HEHEHAHAHA!!!"
Just out of curiosity, which cartoon do you guys prefer: X-Men: Evolution or Spectacular Spider-Man? And they decided to produce their own show, instead of continuing one that was produced by another company. In other words, SSM was just a victim to bad timing. If it had started a couple years earlier, we'd probably gotten at least two extra seasons.
Even though I was a child of the nineties and watched spider-man: tas fanatically, this is the best spider-man show ever made. Sucked that it got cancelled after only two seasons, the Ultimate Spider-Man show is going to have some big shoes to fill. I honestly think Peter's design in this cartoon nails the look of what the character is supposed to be much better than the 90s one. He was way too muscular in that one. He was even more ripped than Spider-man.(which really didn't make any sense) When I look at him in that cartoon, I had a hard time believing that someone his size was pushed around by Flash Thompson. I mean even before he was bitten he was portrayed as being just as bulky as he was after he became Spider-man.

I grew up with the 90s Spider-Man and this show caught my eye two years ago when it was on at night while during my homework. People my age don't want to admit it, but this show was AWESOME and yes better than the 90s version. True, it isn't as dramatic as the 90s one nor is it as dark as Batman: The Animated Series or Justice League, but you know what? That's not Spider-Man. This show captured the essence of Spider perfectly.

Even though I was a child of the nineties and watched spider-man: tas fanatically, this is the best spider-man show ever made. Sucked that it got cancelled after only two seasons, the Ultimate Spider-Man show is going to have some big shoes to fill. Although I don't understand why they're making a brand new show based on Ultimate Spider-Man when this show was already partially inspired by Ultimate Spider-Man. But, hey Paul Dini working on a Marvel animated show sounds very interesting...

I honestly think Peter's design in this cartoon nails the look of what the character is supposed to be much better than the 90s one. He was way too muscular in that one. He was even more ripped than Spider-man.(which really didn't make any sense) When I look at him in that cartoon, I had a hard time believing that someone his size was pushed around by Flash Thompson. I mean even before he was bitten he was portrayed as being just as bulky as he was after he became Spider-man.

awesome intro! this intro beats them all, better than the 90s Spider man intro, Spider man the new animated series, even better than Spider man unlimited! which had a pretty catchy opening song. the only one that can top this one would be the 1967 spider man...

I'll watch and probly enjkoy Ultimate Spider-Man the animated series but I'll always b pissed at the cancellation of this show which was SO pointless since it was so blatently good. Whatsmore they seem 2 b usiing Ult Spidey as a kinda MArvel team up esque show but I wanted a gr8r focus upon Spidey

I DIDN'T LIKE THE FACT THAT HE HAD WEBS IN HIS ARM-PITTS OR THE FACT THAT HE HAS A MOLE.
THE SEASON FINALLY WHERE GWEN KISSES HIM I WAS SO HAPPY THEY'D BE TOGETHER BUT LIZ ALLEN MADE THINGS COMPLICATED.
A GOOD THING ABOUT THIS SERIES IS THEY USE STUNTS FROM THE LIVE ACTION MOVIE.

I grew up with the 90s Spider-Man and this show caught my eye two years ago when it was on at night while during my homework. People my age don't want to admit it, but this show was AWESOME and yes better than the 90s version. True, it isn't as dramatic as the 90s one nor is it as dark as Batman: The Animated Series or Justice League, but you know what? That's not Spider-Man. This show captured the essence of Spider perfectly.
