Well, after watching the Starship Troopers 2. The idea which came out first is that Oh, this is not as good as the first one. However, now I realized this movie is successful by telling a battle that save the human beings. It continued the theme of Starship Troopers which is like a satire of the society as Nazi or Spartanism.

After watching the entire thing I say that you can see that it had a budget smaller than some tv series get for an episode and the entire thing feels like a fanwork.
Maybe its because I started watching it not expecting much but I still enjoyed it.

the whole idea is, service guarantees citizenship. in the book, they gave the vote only to those who proved, by taking responsibilty for defending the federation they were responsible enough to steer the government. read a book dude!
My two cents on this movie: the setting was rather cheap, the plot was too clichéd, and overall the movie itself did no justice to the last movie, and to a larger extent the book. The only good thing I can say about it is the decent violence.

@schwarzfalk Because they weren't just gonna let him go. Do you think any government would spread such information like some mindbugs taking control over people? They wouldn't, it would cause panic in the society. They could have made up a story that General died before the rescue mission arrived, but soldiers on that ship saw Dax killing General. So the High Command would have executed him anyway, this way only Sahara and themselves knew the truth about bugs.
think about it : you say they'd keep a [military] secret about mind-controlling bugs. then why wouldn't they just as well keep a [military] secret about Dax killing an infected general?
those soldiers saw him shoot the general, so what. just like soldier Sahara was sworn to secrecy about the bugs, those mere soldiers could be sworn to secrecy about the shooting, and Command could still make up a story about the general :)
@schwarzfalk He killed another officer too, for reason we don't know. We don't know if the ones who locked him up didn't send the message about it before the radio was destroyed. Probably not, but we can't be sure. If that would be the case he would be executed anyway, not even for killing the general, but the other officer. 'Murderers don't go home'.
Also, the Command wouldn't risk trusting any secret to a few regular soldiers. They could just get drunk and spill the beans.
@bubbleffs yeah well, he could very well say the officer he killed was compromised too (if that is true...story suggests that his superior was also mind-controled), I mean HW knows about the parasite bugs so it ain't far-fetched. think about it, he's the only live witness to that scene AND the only one from the previous regiment who knows about those bugs
plus they wouldn't risk losing a warrior who basically saved the federation, over some shady officer may've been a threat to same federation

If you go into this watching it as a cheesy, B-Movie, flick made 4 teh lulz as I did then you'll enjoy it - I'd watched the first and third film and avoided this like the plauge but.. you know, its good for some giggles.
And just like the Doom Movie, the Ending of Starship Troopers was the only part worth watching. 5:57 onwards is the only good part of this entire film.

How the fuck did they screw up a promising franchise? The budget is so low and insulting that guns give off little flickers of light just to hint their firing bullets and projectiles. The special effects is poor, the bugs CGI have been copied from the first film. the logic of the film and dialouge is a joke (as is the acting) and the movie can't decide if it wants to be adventure or horror/zombie shoot em up. Whoever gave the go ahead to this should had been fired for this crap.

Accroding to starship troopers wiki the railgun and EP-88 state use of electromagnets (blue flashes) but it makes clear bullets were still used. @schwarzfalk your kinda right, the makers said that the weapons use a magnetic system that fires projectiles at fast speeds its kinda like the MAC guns in halo, the ammo the rifles is quite small cause you dont need a big projectile to cause high damage if the speed is great so the the magazines for the rifles hold plenty of ammo so you hardly need to reload. if any of that makes sense lol
Starship trooper 1 is a good movie. Starship trooper 2 is arse movie. Starship trooper 3 is the shit manure that comes from the arse in the second movie.

i liked the first and last movie the best. this one starts and ends with bugs, but the rest of the movie was almost nothing more than another zombie movie.
didn't like it. sorry. anyways thanx for uploading it though, wanted to see all the movies somtime

How the fuck did they screw up a promising franchise? The budget is so low and insulting that guns give off little flickers of light just to hint their firing bullets and projectiles. The special effects is poor, the bugs CGI have been copied from the first film. the logic of the film and dialouge is a joke (as is the acting) and the movie can't decide if it wants to be adventure or horror/zombie shoot em up. Whoever gave the go ahead to this should had been fired for this crap.

ain't those rifles supposed to be energy weapons ? (hence the BLUE colour...gunpowder explosions ain't blue last time I checked)
also those rifles never shown to run outa ammo in this movie (unlike ST1) so again, kinda suggest that they're energy weapons

@schwarzfalk My comment was 7 months ago if it was recent fair enough but 7 months ago? Its a lot of work trying to find the quote you replied on. The second is how are they lasers? They don't even resemble the laser firepower rom ST1 training grounds. Accroding to starship troopers wiki the railgun and EP-88 state use of electromagnets (blue flashes) but it makes clear bullets were still used. If you want to bring an argument revise your claims first.

@schwarzfalk your kinda right, the makers said that the weapons use a magnetic system that fires projectiles at fast speeds its kinda like the MAC guns in halo, the ammo the rifles is quite small cause you dont need a big projectile to cause high damage if the speed is great so the the magazines for the rifles hold plenty of ammo so you hardly need to reload. if any of that makes sense lol

Starship trooper 1 is a good movie. Starship trooper 2 is arse movie. Starship trooper 3 is the shit manure that comes from the arse in the second movie.
