  • Although this sounds stunning I can't help but think you're adding some reverb or audio other effects

  • Luvs*

  • I am playing this and I have a pet bird and he lugs listening to it thanxs :)

  • Play this on your ipod in an abandoned house

  • dude you sound like a flute.

  • beats the shit out of the rest of the guys in the restroom.

  • You are very talented!! I showed this video to my cockatiel and he loved it!! He's been whistling all day now!

  • there's a technique you were using for around 0:49, i'd be very interested to understand how you cause that type of warble, as i am a bit of an amateur whistler, and as there are very few intrigued by whistling, i absolutely gravitate to those with any natural talent themselves, for instance, i learned the warble from reading tom sawyer, in which he textually explains the movement of the tongue. if you could send me perhaps a message of some sort, i'd be very appreciative.

  • @Dsuranix On my channel in the Playlists I have tutorials, and in whistling tutorial #2 "How to Warble" I explain how I do that articulation with the tongue. I'll have to check out Tom Sawyer; read it years ago as a kid but I didn't realize there was a whistling reference in there! Cool.

  • youre really good! i love whistling

  • freakin awesome dude

  • @Tricky0032 thanks bro

  • Very Nice :)

  • @CannabisGanja Thanks!! Glad you dig it.

  • @WhistlersBrother Any tips for a low-mid teir whistler :D

  • @CannabisGanja Mainly just practice... whistle a lot. The more you do it the more naturally it comes to you, and it becomes more automatic, like any skill if you repeat it over and over. Try different songs, songs you like, whistle whatever you enjoy, and over time your skill will develop. Main thing I would say is patience, practice, and have fun. If it's not fun, you're not doing it right. :)

  • @WhistlersBrother Thank you very much! I will do as u suggest and continue on :D

  • Great! And perfect amount of reverb. What kind of mic and software do you use?

  • @still2weirdfoU Hey sorry I missed your comment a while back... Thanks! I use a Samson Q1U mic and I record & edit using GarageBand.

  • must be fun being able to whistle like that. However, a professional whistler?? lol

  • @MegaJoshin Yes, I've been paid a few times to record my whistling; once for a commercial, once for a song, and once for a slot machine, and coming up I have a commercial that's going to be on the Internet and hopefully my whistling is going to be on one song on the new album coming out from Zen Robbi.

I don't make enough doing it to make a living at it (at least not so far) but hopefully some day I will. Probably not any time soon... I need to get a lot more paying gigs for that to happen.

  • wooool

  • You make a living doing this? Honest question. I'd like to know because I am quite good myself. :p

  • @GoodNamesUnavailable LOL No, I wish. I've only been getting paying gigs for the last year or so, and I've only had a few so far. I've made less than $2,000. doing it so far, which is nowhere near enough to live on. From what I hear, most of the whistling you hear in TV commercials apparently is done by just a couple of guys who are music producers and they do the whistling for the songs they write instead of paying someone. That's why a lot of the commercial whistling is so average sounding.

  • "excuse me on moment...." lmao i was not expecting that xD

  • @asdfzombify I almost edited that out but then when I went to edit it, I thought it was kind of funny so I decided to leave this uncut. :)

  • @WhistlersBrother well I'm glad you didn't,it made me enjoy the video just THAT much more :D

  • play the thong song by sisqo

  • Dude, you are AWESOME! Do you take requests?!

  • i cant even whistle -.- i will never be able to

  • @PortoPride2 Never say never.... I have whistling tutorials on my channel. If you click on "Playlists" on my channel you'll see them. I wish you luck, if it's something you want to try to learn!

  • you cant even afford descent sunglasses

  • @ollenbergerstudios It's spelled "decent." And you're right, I do not buy expensive sunglasses, cannot afford them. I only buy them at the 99 cent store because I lose them and break them often. I sat on these ones literally ten minutes before shooting this video as I was preparing! LOL And then I decided to wear them anyway for the "Morpheus" look. (But you're 100% correct.)

  • wtf happened to me im listening to a whistler

  • @phillknyspel LOL wtf?? That's totally funny, made me laugh.

  • I was checking out my own whistling videos and found this one on the relateds...

    oh o.o...wow...wow, just wow

I'm thoroughly impressed...you're certainly much better than I am...I wish you could give me some tips...do you think I could show you some of my videos?

  • @LinkKD Yes, absolutely, I will check out your vids later this weekend when I have time... Just on YouTube for a few minutes right now but I'll let you know my thoughts as soon as I get a chance to watch some. Thanks for watching and commenting! I'm always stoked to meet other whistling enthusiasts. :)

  • Is there ever a time when you are breathing in instead of blowing out when you whistle? I know it makes a slightly different sound when that happens. Do you ever do that?

  • @nummysmom Yes, I do it a lot.... If you watch some of my videos, you can see that all of a sudden my lips will shift to a different position, like puckered out slightly more, when I change to a different note... I don't know if you'll be able to spot it but I often shift from inhaling to exhaling and back. I don't always do it though; I also take a lot of breaths. (Because as you mentioned, it does sound a little different; my exhale whistle is a bit stronger.)

  • @WhistlersBrother Thank you for the explanation! I found your videos when I was searching for whistling videos for our parrots to listen to. They love you by the way...:) Anyway..you've inspired me to whistle more!

  • @WhistlersBrother Yea, gotta breathe in and out to whistle for extended periods (maybe its just me). When I breath in to whistle, I can hit a higher note. The inward breath whistle (in/out whistle) is usually a bit softer than the out-whistle. Can get the same volume, just not as much intensity...(maybe just me again).

  • ur video have always no thumb down

  • @ibmlib LOL Actually a few of them have some thumbs down. :)

  • morpheus glasses!

  • @jjaycallejas HAHA!!! That's what I was thinking too... I reality what happened was, I sat on them and broke them. (Broke one side off. The other side was enough to keep wearing them.) Just got new shades to replace them though.

  • Even your practice/workout is amazing..:) and have to say...you're just so cool. Love your smile too!...:D Okay where are we on the competition?

  • @nummysmom Thanks nummysmom!! :) I think I didn't make it on the competition; I would have heard something a week & a half ago, from what I understand. They make the official announcement on Monday but I'm pretty sure I would already know if I was a winner. So... oh well, maybe next time.

  • Liked and fav'd for what its worth bro. I enjoyed it. Maybe some of my friends will to 8-)

  • @WambliPeta Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

  • Very nice, Bro! I guess all those years of walking around the house whistling are coming in handy, eh?

  • @carnut015 Yep!

  • Nice!

  • @TourDCouve Thanks!

  • Man, how do you get those high notes? I whistle quite a bit but is there some special technique or exercise to boost my pitch? Awesome!

  • @anthonyritchie Well, I don't know about any special technique; the less space inside the mouth, the higher the pitch. But to get that high took me years and years of whistling. The more you do it, and the more you push your limits, the more range you will develop over time. Wish there was a quick & easy technique but I don't think there is... just practice! :)

  • This really got my toes a tappin and just made my day so much better. Awesome stuff here as always ^_^

  • @ArielannaDragonBlood Thanks! Glad you dug it!

  • No need to apologize, I don't how you went that length of time in the first place. When you got to the rythym parts, I could here a good jazz bass playing in my head. By the way, it made plenty of sense to me. Nice job.

  • @Torn80cj Glad it made sense to ya. And glad you made it to the end... I seriously wondered if ANYONE would actually listen to the whole thing... LOL Thanks!

  • This made my day.

  • @D3R3K1600 Me too! LOL

  • don't you get tired when you whistle for so long? i mean, if i whistle for a few seconds my cheeks and lips start to ache...

  • Most awesome Bro, this was nice to sit and listen to whilst i was eating my tea. H&R as always Bro

  • @DibbersPage Glad I got to join you for tea time!! :)

  • That was awesome!

I have no idea how your lips weren't too dry to whistle after like five minutes.

  • @HeyMajorSeventh My mouth got pretty dry there after the first 2 or 3 minutes, finally got so bad I had to stop & get water. LOL

  • awesome
