Windows 95 will always be so haunting to me. Back when I got my first PC, every time I signed on, it would seem like I was logging into an unknown, technical universe. Bright and joyous but with a sense of forboding. It truly was a whole new world...and look what it's all evolved into. Wow.

Try this folks: While listening to the Windows 95 startup sound, imagine you are a patient waking up in a hospital with the sunlight waking you up shining in your face while a pretty nurse is there watching you. I just built a new computer that runs 95,98,xp,7, and ms-dos. You turn on the computer, and it gives a list of what you wanna run, so no im not runing all the same. anyways, i made these cool LED lights on the monitor, and when windows 95 starts, i drew a cool night sky with a shooting star going across and leave 4 sparkles behind for each ring.

@TonyFirelli 95-2000 were DOS OS systems, XP on had no DOS in the OS. XP was the start for Microsoft to move forward, however Vista they had tried to rush but they fixed all the bugs with it and now you have Windows 7. Hope this gives you a rough idea.

95 - Brings back old memories of my first computer. Gateway 2000 with Voodoo 2 Banshee graphics card.

98 - My personal favorite. Come to think of it, the last non-microkernel Windows OS.

ME - Don't go there...

XP - Not much more than a reskin of 2000. They fixed some security issues, but not much else. But still, a good OS none the less.

Vista - Lame, though I never had too many problems. Normally what kills it off is the amount of crudware that comes with it. Everyone can live without Sidebar.

Windows XP was probably the best of all of the operating systems listed up there, that and Vista... Vista seems to have TONS of problems when you run Home Premium, but I run Home Basic and I don't have any problems at all with it, I also run Windows XP on my desktop, it was build by hand 6 years ago by somebody in a hospital, I was 5, BUT at least it's super great and fast still
